The Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a in Givat Shmuel - Photo Gallery

Our teacher, His Holy Eminence, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), arrived for home gatherings in Givat Shmuel. These are the words the Tzaddik spoke during the day.

"The Gemara (Talmudic commentary) in Tractate Berachos says that Rabbi Tarfon was stringent upon himself according to the opinion of Beis Shammai and not Beis Hillel, and then he entered into danger. They said to him, 'You endangered yourself because the law is decided according to Beis Hillel and not Shammai.'"

"Everyone should go now to do an hour of Hisbodedus (personal prayer) at the tomb of Shimon HaTzaddik. 20 minutes there, 20 minutes at the Tziyon (holy gravesite), and 20 minutes back..."
