The Hillula of the Baba Elazar — Documentation from the Visit of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a to His Grave on the Day of the Hillula

Today, the 27th of Tammuz, is the seventh yahrzeit (hillula) of Rabbi Elazar son of Rabbi Meir Abuchatzera—grandson of the holy Baba Sali zy"a, and a scion of the illustrious Abuchatzera family.
The Baba Elazar was born on the 4th of Av in the year 5708 (1948) in Morocco, to his father Rabbi Meir Abuchatzera. In the year 5726 (1966), he immigrated with the Abuchatzera family to the Holy Land. Over the years he settled in the city of Be’er Sheva and became known for his awe-inspiring separation from worldly matters and his extraordinary holiness—so much so that he would not step beyond the doorway of his home except on rare occasions, and even to the synagogue he would go by way of a tunnel.
On the 27th of Tammuz in the year 5771 (2011), during a time when he was receiving people, a mentally unstable man entered his home and plunged a knife into the pure heart of Rabbi Elazar. After several attempts to revive him, “the heavenly beings overcame the earthly ones, and the Ark of G-d was taken”—and the Baba Elazar was laid to rest on Har HaZeisim (the Mount of Olives).
On the first hillula, the 27th of Tammuz 5772 (eleven years ago), unexpectedly—and for the first time in about twenty years—The Rav shlit"a arrived at Har HaZeisim to the grave of the Baba Elazar. The Rav shlit"a recited The Tikkun HaKlali there, accepting upon himself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven. Afterwards, he delivered a short talk in which he said that the Baba Elazar was Mashiach ben Yosef, who—because of our many sins—was taken from us.
