The Holy Journey of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a to the
City of Eilat

For the third time this year, the Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a journeyed to the city of teshuvah (repentance), Eilat. The Tzaddik renews himself at every single moment. During the twenty-four hours at the beginning of the week of Parshat Shemot, the time of the commencement of the Shovavim period, Rav Berland shlit"a traveled to the city of Eilat. There, accompanied by a large number of veteran students and new seekers, he engaged in the holy work of strengthening the souls of Israel in the southernmost city in Israel.
Already during the Mincha and Maariv prayers, an intense spiritual elevation was felt, as the Tzaddik led the prayers at the Shuvu Banim Kollel courtyard in Eilat, located at 3 Ashlil St. The atmosphere was fervent; the melodies of prayer were recited with strength and song, while the Tzaddik drew the hearts of the worshippers after him.
Throughout the entire day, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a engaged in bringing the distant closer, making home visits, receiving the public, and delivering classes. Rav Berland shlit"a conducted the Shacharit prayer with a "multitude of people is the king's glory" at the separate beach of Eilat. The holy Torah scroll was proudly placed, and musical instruments accompanied those gathering around the Tzaddik, as they began to illuminate the dawn with the melodies of the morning hymns that prepare the hearts before the Shacharit prayer.
Around 9:00 PM, the Chassidim accompanied Rav Berland shlit"a to the Eilat airport, while they themselves returned by car to the holy city of Jerusalem. The Rav shlit"a landed at the Sde Dov airport in Tel Aviv, and amazingly, even now, after more than 24 hours away from his home, he did not return home. The holy Tzaddik, who dedicated his self-sacrifice to drawing the souls of Eilat closer, and after exhausting himself in inconceivable outreach work, immediately continued the holy work of bringing the distant closer, this time in Petah Tikva.
