The Judges decision

Jul 21, 2016•עורך ראשי

The court in Rishon L'tzion decided that Rav Eliezer Berland will not be held hostage until the police finish their investigation, and that they had enough time to gather evidence before the Rav returned to Israel. The judge Menachem Mizrachi said that the police have until tomorrow afternoon to arrange for a confrontation between the Rav and those complaining. Thus far, they could not arrange such confrontation.

In any event, tomorrow Rav Berland will be released to house arrest for the length of 10 days in the home of his student Barak Barber. The Rav will be released unconditionally on bail in order for the police to continue their investigation.
