"The Mashiach Will Rectify the Nunim"
The Righteous Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Visits the Spinka Rebbe

On Thursday, Parashat Chayei Sarah, 23 Cheshvan 5779, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a arrived for a visit at the holy residence of the Spinka Rebbe in Bnei Brak. We bring before you the holy scenes from the visit and the words of Rav Berland shlit"a as they were delivered on Motzaei Shabbat.
"'Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Hashem of hosts will perform this' (Isaiah 9:6). The prophet Isaiah says, 'The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined' (ibid. 9:1). The prophet prophesies that now will be like the day when Gideon and his men defeated Midian. Three hundred men defeated soldiers as numerous as the sand of the sea."
"Everything depends on 'For a child is born unto us, a son is given unto us; and the government is upon his shoulder; and his name is called Pele-joez-el-gibbor-abi-ad-sar-shalom' (ibid. 9:5). The verse hints that whoever breaks open the closed Mem of 'L'marbeh hamisrah' (for the increase of government) will merit to be Mashiach ben David. Then the two Nuns of 'Vayehi binso'a ha'aron' (And it came to pass, when the ark set forward) (Numbers 10:35), which are currently inverted, will be rectified; and whoever rectifies the two Nuns will bring the Geulah and be Mashiach ben David."
"Therefore, Mashiach will be called Yinnon, 'Before the sun, his name shall flourish (Yinnon)' (Psalms 72:17), because he will rectify the Nuns. 'She is fallen; she shall no more rise' (Amos 5:2) — the Nun hints at falling and rising; so the moment we break open the Mem, it will turn into two Nuns. 'L'marbeh hamisrah' and then there will be 'of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Hashem will perform this.'"
