The Miracle of Gabriel Lavi's Rescue After a Pidyon Nefesh to Rabbi Berland shlit"a - Radio Kol Chai Interview

"One needs strength to draw close to the true Tzaddik (holy person), Rabbi Eliezer Berland ben Ettia. For anyone who is a bit confused, there is only one solution—to pray to Hashem and ask to see the truth, and Hashem will show it to him." This was the answer given by Gabriel Lavi, the avreich (young married Torah student) from Breslov Shuvu Banim, to the journalists who arrived at Shaare Zedek Hospital to interview him after he was saved from forty stabbings inflicted by a cursed terrorist.
"I didn't feel a thing; the Tzaddik himself pulled me out with mercy. I felt that I was in the hand of the Tzaddik," Lavi said, surprising the interviewer who expected him to say he suffered during the vicious attacks of the villain. "'Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me' (Psalms 23:4). I felt that Hashem was with me, and Rabbi Eliezer Berland ben Ettia, the Tzaddik of the generation, was with me. I felt this both when I was between life and death and throughout the entire recovery process."
Afterward, the avreich Gabriel Lavi spoke again to the media, stating: "I realized I was between life and death. In the merit of the Pidyon Nefesh (redemption of the soul) that my friends in the Yeshiva performed for me (with Rabbi Berland), the entire situation turned around for the good. We will, of course, continue to walk through Damascus Gate and will not be afraid, as per the instruction of the Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland. One should not fear anything except the Creator of the world."
However, Gabriel Lavi's story is making waves throughout the world—how a refined young Torah scholar who was stabbed 40 times all over his body in just a minute and a half was saved after a Pidyon Nefesh (redemption of the soul) was performed through the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. The media outlets continue to seek interviews to hear the story of his wondrous miraculous rescue. Listen to more of what he said on Radio Kol Chai.
