The Moving Film: Lag BaOmer Breslov Shuvu Banim with the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The film of the moving lighting ceremony of the holy community of Breslov Shuvu Banim with the holy Gaon and Tzaddik, The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

In the film you can see the thousands who came to the moving Lag BaOmer 5782 lighting ceremony in the heart of the city, at the intersection of Shivtei Yisrael Street and HaChomah HaShlishit. In honor of this holy gathering, the streets were closed to vehicle traffic, and instead the roads filled with people celebrating the hilula in honor of the soul of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.

The holy community of Breslov Shuvu Banim, which each year is accustomed to holding a great lighting ceremony in Meron in honor of the soul of the holy Tanna, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, moved the lighting to Jerusalem.

The hilula began with the Maariv prayer and the counting of the Omer, in the prayer plaza of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a. Immediately after the prayer ended, the crowd moved to the corner of Shivtei Yisrael Street and HaChomah HaShlishit, where the Shuvu Banim orchestra and choir were already playing, facing the stage that had been set up in honor of the holy gathering.

After the lighting structure was filled with cotton and olive oil—which the participants poured in honor of the soul of Rabbi Shimon—our teacher, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, arrived.

With precious light and a holy flame, The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a lit the oil bonfire. The moment it was lit, a great multitude of dancers joined in, moving to the singing of the orchestra. The Rav shlit"a danced in circles on the stage together with his close family and the rabbis of the holy community shlit"a.

During the dancing, The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a conducted the chalakah ceremony for the holy flock of three-year-old boys. The proud parents came up to the stage dressed in Shabbos clothing together with their children, where the Rav shlit"a was waiting for them.
