The Night of 19 Adar II – A Class for the Residents of Kiryat Gat at the Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

A special class was delivered last night in the home of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, for the residents of Kiryat Gat ■ Outreach activity led by the mashpia, R’ Yehoshua Margalit shlit"a, in the southern city ■ A fiery, flame-like class—nearly an hour of chizuk
In the city of Kiryat Gat, there isn’t a single youth who doesn’t know the mashpia, the chassidic Rav R’ Yehoshua Margalit shlit"a. Rav Margalit, a Gerrer chassid, arrived years ago in the southern city of Kiryat Gat and found it spiritually desolate. When he understood that the root of the matter begins with the young people, he went down to the people and began drawing close to the city’s youth—sitting with them each evening, and in the middle of casual get-togethers by a bonfire or over pizza, he began to instill in the young men love of Hashem, and the great joy that exists in Judaism: keeping the mitzvos, drawing close to Hashem, and connecting to the Tzaddikim.
In this way, Rav Yehoshua Margalit began drawing close to Breslov Chassidus and to The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a. He merited to influence all those young people—who had already merited to taste the light of Judaism—with the words of the ever-flowing stream of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, according to the path of The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a—words that awaken every Jewish soul wherever it may be, even in the most distant places.
Today, in Kiryat Gat and the surrounding communities, there are hundreds of young people who long to hear the words of that ever-flowing stream with thirst. A very small portion of those young men—some of whom have since become avreichim, Breslov chassidim, and servants of Hashem—merited to enter on the night of 19 Adar II for a special class in the residence of The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a. For nearly an hour, he strengthened the participants, with the mashpia Rav Yehoshua Margalit shlit"a seated at his side.
The Rav shared from his holy words on several topics, including: guarding the eyes, self-nullification to the Tzaddik, and the greatness of tzedakah. He also spoke of his novel insights into the story of the Megillah, and in the class he spoke as well about the greatness of Maran, the “Sar HaTorah,” Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky zt"l.
