"The People of Israel are Ready for Teshuvah" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of topics from the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Sunday night, the 1st of Kislev, the second day of Rosh Chodesh. Parshat Vayetzei:
Everyone must travel to Joseph the Tzaddik (the righteous) in honor of Rosh Chodesh (the New Month) of Kislev. But it is impossible to travel to Joseph with a smartphone or a Xiaomi; now, before the trip, is the moment to break the Xiaomi, to be like Joseph the Tzaddik who fought all trials for 22 years without a father or mother, brothers or sisters. Every male goat brought on Rosh Chodesh is to atone for the selling of Joseph; this is a sin that is never fully atoned for. On Chanukah, we read the portion of the Princes (Nesi'im), "its weight was one hundred and thirty," which is to atone for the 130 years that Adam HaRishon (the first man) was in separation, during which drops [of seed] left him that became demons and Al-Qaeda, who are now conquering Syria and could also reach Israel, and we will have to flee from here. Before the end of the sixth millennium, people will have to flee to the desert; only 7,000 people who keep the Shabbat will remain. Even President Bush said that the internet is the end of the world; whoever has a Xiaomi will eventually throw stones and end up in prison. If a son does not study Gemara (Talmud), he is worth nothing; the Gemara says that a daughter is worth more than a son. After the Sin of the Golden Calf, the daughters emerged from the "skin of the snake," while the sons received the "skin of the snake"; therefore, daughters are obligated in Kiddush Levanah (Sanctification of the Moon). A daughter is a million times wiser than a son; the daughter is from the Sefirah (Divine emanation) of Chochmah (Wisdom) and the son is from the Sefirah of Binah (Understanding). "A woman of valor is the crown of her husband"—the woman is above, in the crown, above the husband. All the girls should study Mishlei (Proverbs), and whoever hasn't finished Trei Asar (The Twelve Prophets) should finish within two days. The Heichal HaBracha says that in the future to come, everyone will see that the daughter is more than the son. If there were seminaries (religious schools), girls wouldn't have to go into captivity in the tunnels and caves of Hamas; they are the most righteous girls, unfortunately, they are in Gaza. If there were seminaries in the kibbutzim, the girls would be managers and the boys would be Roshei Yeshivos (Heads of Yeshivas). The People of Israel are ready for Teshuvah (repentance). Now it is Rosh Chodesh Kislev; the lights of Chanukah are already shining. The "Davar B'Ito" brings that Rosh Chodesh Kislev is like Yom Kippur, because the final sealing [of judgment] is on Zot Chanukah (the last day of Chanukah), and the lights of Chanukah shine already from Rosh Chodesh. May everyone be sealed for a good life, break the Xiaomi, lengthen their skirts, and may we merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!
