The Prayer of the Shelah is the Most Accepted Prayer

THE GEMARA (YERUSHALMI KILAYIM, CH. 9, AND KETUBOT) SAYS THAT YOSEF IS FOUND IN THE CAVE OF RABBI CHIYA.  IT IS A WONDER THAT YOSEF HATZADDIK IS FOUND IN THE CAVE OF RABBI CHIYA, BUT THIS IS WHAT IS WRITTEN.  IT’S RELATED THERE THAT RAV HUNA ENTERED THE CAVE OF RABBI CHIYA, AND RAV CHAGA ENTERED WITH HIM.

ONE MUST TRAVEL TO RABBI CHIYA, AND THEN IT IS POSSIBLE TO REVIVE THE DEAD.  AT THE GRAVE OF RABBI CHIYA, IT’S POSSIBLE TO REVIVE THE DEAD AND TO HEAL ALL THE SICK.  ONE MUST TRAVEL TO RABBI CHIYA.

Rav Chisda said, “Bury Rav Huna in the cave of Rabbi Chiya.”  They brought him up to the Land of Israel on foot from Haran, from Babylonia, from Nehardea, from Pumbedita.  They walked on foot for two weeks, a month on foot with the coffin.

Rav Huna said, “I want to enter the cave of Rabbi Chiya.  Who will bring me in?  Rabbi Chaga!”

Ah, you want to be buried in the cave?  He said, “Yes.  I will enter the cave and I promise that I will come out.”

No, you want to be buried there.  He said, “Tie a rope to me.”  They tied a rope of twenty meters to him.  He said, “When I die, take me out.”  They didn’t want him to be buried in the cave, because everyone wanted to be buried in the cave of Rabbi Chiya.

THE FIRST THING IS TO GO TO RABBI CHIYA.  THE FIRST THING IS RABBI CHIYA, THE RAMBAM, RABBI AKIVA – THEY ARE ALL IN TIVERIA (TIBERIAS).  TIVERIA IS THE NAVEL OF THE EARTH.  TIVERIA IS THE HOLIEST PLACE THERE IS IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL AND IN THE WORLD.  EVERYONE MUST GO TO TIVERIA WITHOUT EXCEPTION.  NOW [AT THE TIME, EREV ROSH CHODESH SIVAN] IS THE PRAYER OF THE HOLY SHELAH, SO WE NEED TO TRAVEL TO TIVERIA, TO THE HOLY SHELAH.

First, you go to Rabbi Yochanan and his five students, [then] go to the Rambam – they are all together.  You need to say the prayer of the Shelah in Tiveria on the grave of the Shelah.  He wrote the prayer for the children to be tzaddikim, to go in the way of Hashem, to not run away from the yeshivot.

The prayer of the Shelah is the most accepted prayer.  Everyone needs to travel now to Tiveria on Wednesday, Erev Rosh Chodesh, and say the prayer of the Shelah, without exception.

At the prayer at the Shelah’s grave in Tiveria, there will be thousands of people, ten thousand people.
