R' Don Alberto continues to share with us new facts about the esteemed tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. This time, R' Alberto opens up and reveals what happened when Rav Berland shlit"a arrived at a large fundraising event where they expected him to speak about how much the yeshiva needs funding to continue to exist. These are his words.

"We went with the Rav to raise money at a gala evening for the yeshiva. Each participant was supposed to donate a certain amount, but the Rav did not want this whole evening at all. Suddenly, the Rav entered and in front of everyone he was supposed to speak to in order to convince them to donate, he said, 'We are the richest yeshiva in the world, we have billions in a bank in Switzerland.' People did not understand at all what the Rav was talking about, and behold the wonder, everyone donated much more than they initially intended."

R' Don Alberto continues and tells, "One day I arrive at the Rav's house just as he was coming down from his home and he tells me, follow me. We drove and arrived with him to the Kotel, the Rav entered with his special permit and we followed him. An old man passed by and embraced the Rav, and when we arrived, the Rav asked us, where were you, Elijah the Prophet was here." What is considered miracles and wonders that are unheard of and certainly unseen in the world, for the tzaddik these are everyday occurrences.
