The Rav Surprises at the Fundraising Evening and the Revelation of Elijah at the

R' Don Alberto continues and shares with us new facts regarding the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. This time, R' Alberto begins by revealing what happened when Rav Berland shlit"a arrived at a large fundraising event where they expected him to tell how much the Yeshiva needed funding in order to continue to exist. These are his words.

"We went with the Rav to raise money at a gala evening for the Yeshiva. Each of the participants was supposed to donate a certain amount, but the Rav did not want this whole evening at all. Suddenly, the Rav entered, and in front of everyone he was supposed to speak to in order to convince them to donate, he said, 'We are the richest Yeshiva in the world; we have billions in the bank in Switzerland.' People did not understand at all what the Rav was talking about, and behold the wonder, everyone donated much more than they had originally intended."

R' Don Alberto continues and recounts, "One day I arrive at the Rav's house just as he is descending from his home, and he says to me, 'Drive after me.' We drove and arrived with him all the way to the Kotel. The Rav entered with his special permit, and we entered after him. An old man passed by there who embraced the Rav. When we arrived, the Rav asked us, 'Where were you? Eliyahu the Prophet was here.' What for the world are miracles and wonders that have never been heard and certainly never seen, for the tzaddik, these are everyday occurrences."
