The Redemption of Captives: A Lithuanian Avrech Testifies About a Miracle That Happened to Him After Donating to Save Rabbi Berland shlit"a

After the announcement of the emergency fundraising for the redemption of captives of our esteemed teacher, the righteous Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, a Lithuanian avrech from England shared a personal miracle that happened to him after deciding to donate.

This Lithuanian avrech testifies that he saw our teacher Rav Berland only once in his life, yet he decided to donate 500 shekels for the redemption of captives (as requested by the rabbis). This was an act of self-sacrifice for him, but the donation was soon returned - these are his words.

"I am afraid to speak to such a holy community (the holy community of Breslov 'Shuvu Banim'), 'Shuvu Banim', 'Knishta Chada', the only community in the world that truly brings the redemption closer. I am a Lithuanian avrech living in Gateshead, England (Gateshead, a city home to an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community of about 500 families, including the Gateshead Yeshiva), and even though I am Lithuanian, I feel the love Rav Berland has for every Jew - Rav Berland knows what he takes upon himself for the sake of all Israel."

"I strive to say seven Tikkun HaKlali every day (as the Rav requested for his success), and I see much divine assistance in all my matters."

"Although I am a kollel avrech (and the situation of avrechim is known), when I heard there was an emergency fundraising for Rav Berland, I didn't think twice and donated 500 shekels."

"Immediately with the donation, I received a message from the bank that I had exceeded my credit limit, I didn't know how to tell my wife. I prayed and said to Hashem, I didn't do this for myself, but for the tzaddik, and even if I lose from this, I have no regrets."

Listen to the divine providence - that same day I studied in the kollel with enthusiasm and the thought that I did the right thing. At the end of the study session, the kollel secretary approached me and told me about an account which showed that for over a year they owed me more than 500 shekels. The next day, yesterday, the money was already deposited into our account, I didn't lose, I only gained more."

"I learn from this 'kal vachomer', I am a Lithuanian under the klipah of the diaspora (as he says), and what do I even understand from our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a? (And I donated and saw miracles), Baruch Hashem that I prayed not to be influenced by all the lies heard in the world, I asked Hashem, Master of the Universe, guide me in the path of truth to see who the true tzaddik is. 'Kal vachomer' you who are very close to Rav Berland, pray with him every day, the Rav has truly brought many of you to teshuvah, surely you will receive back much more than 500 shekels."

"You know closely about the great self-sacrifice of Rav Berland, I only from afar, I only met the Rav once, I didn't even know then who he was. Surely you will not lose, I am truly envious of you that you are close to Rav Berland. If the public can pray for me, Yisrael Meir ben Chava, that I may be closer to Rav Berland, I would be very grateful for that. That I may also merit to be in Jerusalem and see the release of the Rav, together with the entire redemption process in Jerusalem, the holy city."
