The Significance of Lag BaOmer - The Esteemed Rabbi Moshe Tzanani shlit"a

This article was written on the eve of Lag BaOmer, 5778.
"Lag BaOmer, the day of the Hillula of Rashbi, is like a wedding in Heaven, and his holy soul spreads throughout the entire world. We ascend to Meron to participate in this immense joy and to prostrate ourselves upon his holy gravesite in order to merit receiving some infusion from the soul of Rashbi, so that we, too, may awaken from our slumber. This day is highly auspicious for this."
"For Rashbi awakens all those who are asleep from their lethargy, as his name testifies: 'An Eir V'kadish Min Shmaya Nachit' (A watcher and a holy one descended from Heaven). He was the 'Rainbow of the Covenant,' and through this, he merited to be a flame of fire for Hashem, which is the essence of the lighting (of the bonfire). The fire of the lighting alludes to the fire that surrounded them when they studied the secrets of the Torah; this was due to the immense attachment that Rashbi and his students had to Hashem, as Rashbi said, 'All my days, I have been bound in a single knot with Hashem.'"
"We must beseech on this holy and awesome day that we, too, who are as cold as ice, may merit to receive from this fire, and merit to yearn for Hashem. And through this, we will merit what Rashbi said before his passing: 'I am for my Beloved, and my Beloved is for me, and His desire is upon me.'"
And in the merit of this, may we merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen.
