Rav Berland opened his lesson, "Today is the fourth day of the creation of the world, on which Hashem suspended the luminaries, and since then, the sun and the moon meet every 19 years. The nations of the world have not succeeded to this day in connecting the sun with the moon; only the people of Israel, who add a leap year. Everything for which we came into the world is to connect the sun with the moon; the sun is the man and the moon is the woman, and one must constantly connect them by sitting together for an hour or two with patience."
