Presented before you is a summary of topics from the lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), during the fourth meal, Melaveh Malkah (the meal accompanying the departing Queen Shabbat), on the conclusion of the holy Shabbat of Parshat Shemos 5785:

Chayei Moharan (The Life of Rebbe Nachman) 198: There was once a sick person who did not want to take the medicine. The doctor said to pour barrels of medicine into his mouth, perhaps a little would enter. These "barrels" refer to the Gemara (Talmud); perhaps a little will enter a person. In another three hours, at Chatzos (the midnight prayer and study), everyone should study Gemara. Yaakov and Yosef studied the laws of the Eglah Arufah (the heifer whose neck is broken). Yaakov fainted when they told him Yosef was in Egypt; he thought, "Surely he has a gentile woman and has gentile children from her." So Yosef sent him wagons (agalos) as a hint that he remembered the topic of Eglah Arufah. At the end of Tractate Sotah, it is written that forty-two children were eaten [by bears]. These were the most dangerous bears, like she-bears, which are most dangerous when protecting their cubs. Every girl needs to study this story, and study Melachim (Kings) I and II, and write the story about the bears and she-bears that ate the forty-two children. The gentiles claim that blood is put into the Matzos (unleavened bread), and they have a hint from the acronym of the ten plagues "Detzach Adash Beachav," and the Frankists (a heretical sect) publicized this. They also claim blood is put in the wine. To this day, they believe this in Europe. Batia Berg was four years old when the war broke out. She managed to cross the bridge with her father and mother, reach Tashkent, and be saved, while all her brothers and sisters were murdered. Every Shabbat, she would cut her finger so that she wouldn't have to write on Shabbat. She called her father and asked him, "What kind of education is this?" and he told her he didn't know about her self-sacrifice. For a daughter is worth a million times more than a son. The daughter is in the aspect of Chochmah (Wisdom) of BAN (a Kabbalistic name of God), and the son is in Binah (Understanding) of BAN; the daughter is a million times greater than the son. Because the son puts everything into gambling. Now they are releasing thirty-three female hostages, but almost all of them are dead. The daughters did not sin, neither with the Spies nor with the Golden Calf. The sons said that the calf was the "ox in the Divine Chariot," but the women did not agree. The men tore the earrings from their ears by force. For forty years, they walked with half-ears. Thus, the spiritual impurity (zuhama) returned to the sons, but the daughters have no impurity at all; they have no desire for sin whatsoever. Tonight, everyone is traveling to Hebron, and then to Halhul. Whoever cannot travel to Hebron should travel to Ouarzazate [in Morocco] to Rabbi Yahya bin Baruch. Tomorrow at ten, we are traveling for the yahrtzeit (anniversary of passing) of the Rambam (Maimonides); they will immerse in the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and travel to Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes. Trump's inauguration is on the yahrtzeit of the Rambam, who holds like him—that if a girl is touched [harmed], the entire city is killed. The girls will go on a vacation; the Rebbetzin will come on Tuesday, and there will be 24 hours of continuous lessons in Likutey Moharan and Likutey Halachos. Every girl needs to study Likutey Halachos and Likutey Moharan and the story of the 42 children who were eaten. One Sage said there was a forest but no bears, and another said there was neither a forest nor bears. Elisha the Prophet created both the forest and the bears. The tzaddik can create a new soul for everyone. The moment one travels to the tzaddikim—on Monday everyone will travel to the Rambam, Rabbi Akiva, Rabbi Yochanan, and Rabbi Chiya—everyone will receive a new soul. And may we merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!
