The Tzaddik Decreed: "Moshe Leon for Mayor!" - Listen

Adaptation of an article by Eli Rotman from the Kikar HaShabbat website.
Inconceivable: Victory for Lion - After Consistent Trailing
The Tzaddik Decrees and Hashem Fulfills
The second round of the Jerusalem mayoral elections ended in a massive drama, as Moshe Lion defeated Ofer Berkovitch, after the latter had led for almost the entire duration of the vote count.
These are the words of Eli Rotman written in real-time in an article on Kikar HaShabbat, with the addition of the events occurring behind the scenes, at the home of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a - 6th of Kislev 5779, 14.11.18, 00:57.
"It is seemingly irreversible: The next mayor of Jerusalem is, in all likelihood, Moshe Lion."
"Throughout the last three hours, during which the votes of the Jerusalem electorate were counted, excluding those in the double envelopes, Ofer Berkovitch led securely by a margin of about ten percent."
"Most commentators had already eulogized the political future of Lion, who did not manage to lead over his opponent even once. Signs of mourning were even evident at the Degel HaTorah and Shas headquarters, which, as is known, supported him, unlike Agudat Yisrael."
However, as is known, last night the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, spoke out clearly and said, "I decree that Moshe Lion will be the next mayor."
These are the words of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a:
"We are now decreeing that Moshe Lion will be the mayor of Jerusalem and will care for all the city's needs, with grace and kindness. That no family should be hungry for bread, and he will care for all the needs of the Halacha, that everything should proceed according to the holy Halacha, without a single deviation by a hair's breadth. And all the children of Israel in every place - vote only for Moshe Lion. May Hashem be with you."
Therefore, the students of the Rav, the people of Shuvu Banim, awaited the salvation that at that moment seemed distant.
Rav Berland, during the vote counting, was conducting a public reception at his home in Modi'in Illit. His students and admirers sat in the living room of the house, waiting for the Rav to deliver his lesson. The public reception in the adjacent room proceeded with reports that Moshe Lion was facing defeat; however, towards the end of the reception, surprising data began to arrive, according to which Moshe Lion was narrowing the gap and at times even leading slightly.
And suddenly it happened: Rav Berland left the room and came to his audience of admirers to deliver the lesson, and then, all at once, ballot boxes began to arrive from neighborhoods where Lion was leading over Berkovitch, with the religious candidate steadily increasing the gap.
By the time the Kaddish was recited at the end of the lesson, the joyous news had already arrived - Moshe Lion will be the next mayor. The Tzaddik decreed and Hashem fulfilled!
