The Righteous Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a
Baruch Hashem, we are currently privileged to experience a time of favor, and the name of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, is on almost everyone's lips. Certainly, the Rav shlit"a himself does not need any publicity; on the contrary, anyone who knows even a little bit about Rav Berland shlit"a knows that his entire life he has fled from any shred of falsehood or superficiality. Even today, one can see the Rav shlit"a with his head tefillin positioned to the side, intentionally, so that anyone who draws close to Hashem through him will seek truth and not falsehood.
The Rav shlit"a does not seek to play the sticky game of "publicize me and give me honor." On the other hand, the Rav shlit"a sees that we are in a difficult period of "It is a time to act for Hashem, for they have violated Your Torah," and therefore he truly sacrifices himself and is willing to do the exact opposite of his personal desire. The Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland, goes out today to the people of Israel with one sole purpose: the time has come to return to the rock from which we were hewn. The people of Israel are in spiritual darkness and are crying out for a drop of truth. For the Rav shlit"a is the successor of our Rebbe, Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, who drew down Da'at (knowledge) from the 50th Gate of Holiness, and with it, wonderful counsels that can stand against the 50th Gate of Impurity in which we are immersed today. However, one must remember that this leadership of the Rav shlit"a is very new.
Just a few years ago, spreading the Da'at of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland, was much more difficult. Although tens of thousands (without any exaggeration) drew close through the Rav shlit"a, still, things were whispered quietly and were under restriction. During that period, the book "Spreading at the 50th Gate" was written. The book touched upon things that no one dared to mention at that time. It explains the connection between the role in Creation of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, and the entire chain of Tzaddikim of the generations, while telling amazing stories about the Rav shlit"a and his students.
Even today, when the innovative newsletter of Knishta Chada and the comprehensive Shuvu Banim International website are already being distributed, the book "Spreading at the 50th Gate" is very relevant, perhaps even more so. Precisely today, when one wants to understand in depth the magnitude of the phenomenon of the Rav shlit"a and our holy Rebbe, this book has much to offer. When the author of the book went to the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, and received his approval to write the book, it was done in an environment completely different from the reality today. There was fear: is it even appropriate to reveal things that until then had only been said in the most private of rooms? The author asked himself. But things changed, and suddenly we see that the Mover of all causes prepared the book just before the revolution.

And our Rebbe already saw everything that the final generation, the footsteps of Mashiach, would undergo, and he prepared counsels and remedies for every problem and every fall, saying that the good things that Mashiach will do for Israel, he is also capable of doing, but the difference is that Mashiach will complete it. And now, let every person of understanding awaken and perform a soul-searching, and contemplate who is that Moshe, that compassionate and faithful leader who can bring the people of Israel today to the Holy Temple and to the complete Geulah. Who is that Tzaddik who testified about himself that he attained the attribute of Binah (understanding) in its entirety, which, as is known to those who know the secrets of the Torah, is the 50th Gate of Holiness, from which the supreme pure mikvah is drawn ("And I will sprinkle pure water upon you, and you shall be purified"), so that anyone who desires can draw close and merit for himself a personal Geulah, which is what will bring about the general Geulah, with the help of Hashem, and he will have a share in it. And about him it is said, "Whoever has Da'at, it is as if the Holy Temple was built in his days," meaning he has the Da'at that the Tzaddik, the compassionate leader, drew down, and "in his days" specifically—in his lifetime—it is as if the Holy Temple was built because he merited his personal Geulah, and then he begins to feel the true pain of how much is lacking that there is no Holy Temple, and about him it is said, "He who increases knowledge, increases pain."
