The Tzaddik is the One Who Controls the Missiles from Iran! • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary from the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) — yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Tuesday night, the 22nd of Sivan, Parshas Shelach-Lecha:

On the Shabbat when we read Shelach-Lecha, there is a teaching in Likutey Halachos (the primary work of Reb Noson of Breslov) that explains where the Meraglim (spies) went wrong. One needs to know Likutey Halachos by heart. Now that the yeshivas (Torah academies) have been disrupted—the Iranians are against the yeshivas—so one must learn the Halachos (laws/teachings) with his wife. It is written "by the word of Hashem," so why did they err? It is written they were "men of Hashem"; it wasn't for nothing—He chose people according to the word of Hashem. And also regarding Korach, who was the greatest Tzaddik—it is written that in the future to come he will be the Kohen Gadol (High Priest). "The Tzaddik shall flourish like a palm tree" (Tzaddik KaTamar Yifrach) is written in the Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday night service). Rabbi Chaim Sonnenfeld zt"l (of blessed memory) would melt with emotion during "Lecha Dodi." The final letters of that verse [Tzaddik Katamar] spell Korach. So Korach, who was the greatest Tzaddik in the world and so clever—what did he see that led him to this folly!? All of this is written in Hilchos Arev 5; these are the final laws that Rabbi Nathan (Reb Noson) wrote. All of this must be studied. There are now 5 hours of night; either go to sleep and wake up for Chatzos (midnight lamentations/prayer) or stay awake until the 5:30 Vatikin (sunrise prayer), and afterwards one can sleep from 6:00 to 9:00. The night is so short, there's no point in sleeping. So how did Korach reach this folly? He was flying in the air, while Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our Teacher) was walking on foot. But they [Korach's group] were flying in the air, so they understood incorrectly that they were greater than Moshe. But he did not know that the Tzaddik is the one who makes him fly. The Tzaddik controls everything; he flies the missiles! He decides where they will fall! Therefore, it falls there and doesn't fall here. A person thinks he is doing something, but the Tzaddik does everything!! From Mincha (afternoon prayer) on Shabbat, one can start reading Parshas Korach with the Rashi commentary. Because he [Korach] had a righteous wife who suddenly saw him without Peyos (sidelocks). Because Moshe Rabbeinu commanded all the Levites to shave their Peyos and beards, and when his wife saw him like that, she went crazy! She said, "I will go all the way, I will dismantle his tent, I will incite the whole camp against him." She incited everyone against him; only his [Moshe's] two sons, Aharon and his two sons, and Miriam remained—only seven in total, he didn't even have a Minyan (quorum of ten). So there is a long Chatzos; the girls should stay awake until 4:00, and the boys should stay awake all night to study Shelach-Lecha and begin Korach. The Meraglim (spies) did not want to enter the Land without Moshe. When Miriam heard "Moshe is dead," she fainted on the spot. A person says he will return at seven in the evening; he must understand that a minute after seven, his wife is already certain he was stabbed, that a missile fell on him, that he was already killed. One must call to notify her, otherwise you will return home and, in the best-case scenario, find a wife dying of worry. "They went in the channels of the river"—between the tents they went with boats like in Venice. So the Meraglim were not ready to enter the Land without Moshe, but they were wrong, because if Moshe says we are entering, then we enter. And "Moshe is dead" means there will be Techiyas HaMeisim (Resurrection of the Dead); if "Moshe is dead," it means he will rise after five minutes and there will be the Geulah (Redemption) in its entirety, speedily in our days, Amen!
