"The Tzaddik Says: Don't Think Twice!" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of topics from the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) – yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Monday night, the 25th of MarCheshvan, Parshas Toldos:
Eliezer said, "Avraham surely got confused; why is he sending me to take a daughter from there for Yitzchak? I have a daughter who studied with 'Birkas Avraham'—with Avraham Avinu (our forefather) and Sarah." The Americans tell Israel, "Suffer a little, let them throw missiles, it's not such a problem, the main thing is that there should be peace..." And this is all because not all the girls lengthen their skirts. Everyone needs to study Chayei Moharan (The Life of Rebbe Nachman) section 194 with his wife. Only the Jews knew how to smuggle diamonds from America. Eliezer saw "V'chada Al Sh'chema" (and her pitcher on her shoulder) – the initials of which spell Esav (Esau). He did not want to give Yitzchak a wife who would bring about Esav. Esav was an oppressed child; they stole the blessings from him, they stole the precious garments from him. Rabbeinu (Rebbe Nachman) said not to give a child either a kiss or a slap. Rabbi Naftali of Ropshitz said, "I will show you Yaakov (Jacob) without Esav." A boy who doesn't study Gemara (Talmud) is worse than a floor rag. The daughter does everything; the daughter is "Grade A" and the son is "Grade B." Because the daughters did not sin—neither with the Spies nor with Korach. Korach said that all the miracles were just an optical illusion. Rabbi Nosson writes in Hilchos Yibum (Laws of Levirate Marriage) that faith (Emunah) is found with the woman. Regarding "Vayisau" (and they journeyed), the tribe of Yehuda said, "Wait, we will make ropes, we will make rafts," but the tribe of Binyamin jumped into the water. Therefore, he merited the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple). The Tzaddik says: Don't think twice! In this merit, may we merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!
