The Tzaddik Stitches the Redemption – Flames of Fire from the Esteemed Rav Berland shlit"a

The Tzaddik Stitches the Redemption – Flames of Fire from the Esteemed Rav Berland shlit"a

The lesson of our teacher, the esteemed Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, delivered on the 18th of Tevet, 5782.

"Tomorrow at four thirty in the morning (the start of Shacharit prayer) we open the cobbler's shop, everyone will begin to be cobblers like Chanoch who stitched shoes, for 365 years he stitched shoes."

"Chanoch's son, Methuselah, lived 969 years, and for 969 years he stitched shoes, and then came Lamech the grandson, he also stitched shoes, and then came Noah who stitched shoes and through this he saved humanity and there was a continuation for humanity."

"Yosef is the impregnation of Chanoch, he is the reincarnation of Chanoch the angel Metatron, therefore it is written about Yosef: 'And he was a lad with the sons of Bilhah and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives.' And about Chanoch it is said: 'I was a lad and also grew old,' Chanoch lives until today."

"Therefore it is written about Yosef: 'A fruitful bough is Yosef, a fruitful bough by a spring,' fruitful is a stitcher, fruitful in letters is stitcher, the tzaddik who is the angel Metatron stitches shoes, all day he stitches shoes."

"Shoes mean that he turns the crown of Rachel into the shoes of Leah. The entire work is to turn the crown of Rachel into the shoes of Leah. 'Over Edom I will cast my shoe,' what shoe is thrown on Edom? What will help if we throw the shoe? Rather, the moment we turn the crown of Rachel into the shoe of Leah, the crown of Rachel connects with the shoes of Leah, 'Trembling grips the leaders of Moab' 274, Rachel Leah also 274."

"The entire work is to connect Rachel and Leah, that the crown should turn into a shoe, and then 'Over Edom I will cast my shoe,' and then we will merit the complete redemption speedily in our days, Amen.

And after the Maariv prayer, our teacher, the esteemed Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, continued and said:

"There are eight hours to sleep, not a second more, because the brain degenerates. All diseases come from sleeping more than eight hours."

"Now everyone straight to bed, whoever can stay awake all night, how good, but whoever knows he won't wake up at 5:30 should go to bed immediately, and be here on time for putting on tefillin, 5:30 is putting on tefillin."

"Light is sown for the tzaddik…"
