The War of Gog and Magog Has Begun; We Are in the Time of the Redemption — Great tzaddikim: Rav Pinto, Rabbi Eliezer Berland, Rabbi David Abuchatzira, and the Prophecy of the Vilna Gaon

The eminent gaon and kabbalist Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto shlit"a, head of the “Shuva Yisrael” institutions in Eretz Yisrael and worldwide, and Av Beit Din of the Jewish community in Morocco, warned from where he resides about the fateful situation we are in during this period.

“Know that now is a time of redemption — the Gemara says that the seventh year is a year of war.”

“You will see, tzaddikim, that this year will not pass without war — a year of war.”

The words of Rav Pinto shlit"a join the calls for awakening from many tzaddikim in the recent period, which we will bring, with Hashem's help, further on.

“The war, we say, already began two years ago; this entire plague is Gog and Magog of a war that began. It began in a way… it is not written how Gog and Magog will be — whether it will be with rifles, or with missiles, or with swords, or with knives — Gog and Magog has begun.”

“When the Nazis rose to power, it was five or six years before World War II. Did anyone then believe it would reach the Holocaust? But they began! In ideas, in hatred — to hate the stranger, to hate the other — it began.”

“The war of Gog and Magog has begun, but how it will develop depends on our strength. As we said at the beginning of the plague, if we will be… know, tzaddikim, that at the beginning of the plague, on that Pesach night, they heard: ‘And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning’ (Exodus 12:22).”

“We were at the very threshold of the redemption — Mashiach was literally at the door.”

“After that, arguments began, hatreds — this one said, this one did — disputes among the people of Israel. Mashiach does not like disputes; the redemption moved farther away, and it is written that if Mashiach comes, ‘Let him come, but let me not see him.’”

“If he does not come in a good way, with the people of Israel as a vessel able to receive Mashiach, then the time will be a difficult time of suffering and harsh things.”

“We saw in a holy book that says that before Mashiach comes, those farthest from redemption will come to emunah (faith) that there is no other way — only Hashem.”

“And remember: as much as there is now hatred and persecution toward the holy Torah, we see from afar a spirit of great, great teshuvah (repentance)… blowing like a storm that is approaching the world.”

“And remember that this spirit will cover the earth — and in every place there will be a place of Torah.”

Up to here are the holy words of the Admor Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto shlit"a.

As is known, physical access to our teacher, His Honor the holy gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, has been difficult in the recent period as a result of the severe persecution he is undergoing. Near the Rav there were guards at all times—rabbis and bnei Torah who are not among Rabbi Eliezer Berland’s foremost students, as requested by the court.

One of the guards, who asked to remain anonymous, told us personally the shocking testimony before you—testimony so fateful for the people of Israel and directly connected to the words of Rav Pinto above.

This is his testimony.

It concerns a period about four months ago, before Rosh Hashanah, when there was a rumor that the nine months before the coming of Mashiach had already begun. That guard, who was frequently near our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, asked him in the month of Tammuz about the truth of the rumor.

Our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland answered: That is not true. The nine months before the redemption have not yet begun; they will begin on Chanukah and will be accompanied by difficult events that will continue until Rosh Hashanah.

The guard continued and asked: What do we need to prepare for that period? Do we need to prepare a lot of food?

Our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland continued and answered, saying: The situation with food will not be so difficult; there will be enough food, there will be something to eat. But medicines will be hard to obtain. Therefore, whoever takes medications regularly should see to it to prepare a supply for the coming months.

On another occasion, the guard asked our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a about the concern of Iran dropping an atomic bomb.

Our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a answered: Iran will throw an atom on Israel, but I will catch it in the air and throw it back at Iran. It will also fall on Egypt and Syria, but mainly on Turkey

Up to here are the words of our teacher, His Honor the holy gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

On last Chanukah, 5782, the Admor Rabbi David Abuchatzira shlit"a spoke and delivered his holy words before a large crowd.

During his words, Rabbi David Abuchatzira said that the nine months will begin on Shabbat Chanukah, which was also Rosh Chodesh Tevet.

In order to understand the words of our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland and Rabbi David Abuchatzira shlit"a, one must count nine months from Chanukah, which end on Rosh Chodesh Elul. However, since 5782 is a leap year in which we have two Adars, and if we consider both of them as one Adar—then the nine months will end at Rosh Hashanah of 5783.

Let us return to the words of our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, according to which the nine months before the redemption will end on the coming Rosh Hashanah in 5783.

As is known, reality can change—especially when the people of Israel do teshuvah (repentance), and the tzaddikim, as we see with our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, take upon themselves suffering and humiliation in order to sweeten the judgments from upon the people of Israel and bring the redemption with mercy. And behold, to our very great joy—which cannot be described in words—recently the community’s connection with our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a has returned, and the public has again begun to hear his holy Torah teachings and even to pray with the tzaddik shlit"a.

In the last two weeks, our teacher said several times that on the Seder night there will be redemption, with the light of redemption beginning from Shabbat Chanukah and continuing to rise until the Seder night.

All the words of these mighty tzaddikim join the reality unfolding before our eyes, and the fulfillment of the words of the Vilna Gaon, said with ruach hakodesh about 220 years ago (1720–1797): that the moment Russia invades the Crimean Peninsula on the shore of the Black Sea, it will be the final sign before the redemption. “If the ships of the Kingdom of Russia cross the Bosporus Strait (the Dardanelles), one must put on Shabbat clothes,” meaning the hour is near for the coming of Mashiach…

If anyone still has doubt about the fulfillment of this sign, one can see all the media today that regularly cover the massive flow of Russian forces to the border with Ukraine. Matters reached the point that the U.S. administration issued a statement that if Russia does not withdraw from its intentions in Crimea, it is also prepared to drop an atom on Russia.
