There Is Only One Jew Who Gave His All for the Souls of Our Generation
Rabbi Meir Malka shlit"a

"We will invite Rav Meir Malka to say a few words." HaRav HaGaon Rabbi Shlomo Elmaliach shlit"a welcomes HaRav HaGaon Rabbi Meir Malka shlit"a to address the large crowd that arrived at the prayer and protest rally for the release of our teacher, the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, at the Bar Ilan junction.
"To the entire holy public gathered here - everyone comes from an inner cry, a cry of the heart, a cry of pain, a cry from the depths of the heart, a cry from the highest heights." Rav Malka shlit"a, one of the veteran and special students of our teacher, the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, begins his remarks.
"What will become of us? What will become of our father? Days and more days and more days, and in such a way that... the malice, the injustice, and the unfairness, as the son of the Rav shlit"a mentioned, a drop of humanity, a drop of mercy, a drop of a Jewish point, oh, where is it?"
"And all the more so when it concerns the Rav of Rabbis, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a, and even if it were a simple Jew, it would be fitting to grant the minimum of humanity, of consideration, but our eyes do not see it, our ears do not hear it, we only hear from the side of the health of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a - painful things, and we hear only the least of the least."
"What shall we say and what shall we speak, our strength is only prayer, although everyone who has the power, as the son of the Rav shlit"a spoke, everyone who has the power and the possibility to act in any way whatsoever, let us not stand idly by. Our very gathering here, in this place now, at this hour, is in itself showing and broadcasting to all of the Jewish people, wherever they are - our cry is great, our cry is great and deep. Look and see what is being done to us, what is being done with the flock, what is being done with the souls of Israel."
"There is only one Jew in the generation who gave himself, primarily this is complete and total self-sacrifice to give his heart for the souls of Israel. There are such souls who have no father and no true, faithful, and loving shepherd to look upon them, only our teacher the Rav shlit"a gave himself for this for days and years."
"Look and see, People of Israel, all these souls are parts of us, how fitting it is for us to cherish, and to support, and to love the one who gave and gives his mind to these souls. Look, People of Israel, please awaken yourselves, those whom it is possible to awaken on behalf of our teacher the Rav shlit"a. He is the compassionate shepherd, this compassion is incumbent upon all of the People of Israel."
"So if there is one Jew in the generation who took upon himself this holy burden, how fitting it is for us to cherish him, to rely on and love him, and to support him. And now his situation is such and such, so let us not stand idly by, let us merit to awaken to use everything in our power, whether prayers, whether efforts, whether anything that can be of benefit."
"Please, People of Israel, the People of Israel is going..., whoever is here, whoever is here is one-thousandth of all the souls of Israel whose cry of heart is very great. Please, all of Israel, awaken, work with everything in your power, starting from prayer to any effort whatsoever."
"Until we merit, with Hashem's help, that the judgment will be sweetened regarding this terrible and painful injustice that has been done..., even if it were the simplest Jew, and all the more so, and one must elaborate on this 'all the more so', who knows if this is not demanded of each and every one of us, all of us."
"Please, People of Israel, awaken with mercy, with an eye of compassion, whether for his sake or for the sake of the flock that is waiting for this shepherd, may He establish with great mercy upon us and upon all of the People of Israel. We will merit, with Hashem's help, the salvation and great redemption of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a, in health and long life, with Hashem's help, for the benefit of the holiness of all of Israel, we will merit, with Hashem's help, to the complete Geulah for good lives, with Hashem's help, soon."
