"This Entire Yeshivah Exists in the Merit of the 'Lev Simchah'"
Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a on the Author of the 'Lev Simchah' of Gur and the Connection to Shuvu Banim — For the Yahrtzeit

In honor of the 30th yahrtzeit of the author of the 'Lev Simcha' of Gur - Rabbi Simcha Bunim Alter of Gur, who passed away thirty years ago on the 7th of Tammuz, 5752. We bring before you a segment of a lecture where our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, spoke about his greatness approximately two years ago at a Chumash party for the children of the 'Nechamat Tzion' Talmud Torah, and told of the connection between the author of the 'Lev Simcha' and Shuvu Banim:
"Today is the yahrtzeit of the Lev Simcha of Gur. As is known, he loved Breslov, he supported Breslov, and he sent the best maggidei shiur (lecturers). When we opened the yeshiva, the Lev Simcha was the Admor, and he sent the best students to lead the yeshiva. All of this yeshiva is the merit of the 'Lev Simcha'; it is his merit. And he walks before us; tzaddikim do not pass away. He is here among us; this is the fruit of the labor of Rav Simcha. This entire yeshiva is the fruit of the labor of Rav Simcha. He is among us, he walks with us; the tzaddikim have not passed away! The tzaddikim do not pass away; the tzaddikim live and exist forever and ever!"
"The tzaddikim walk with us, and he walks before us. And especially on the yahrtzeit, the tzaddik descends and becomes incorporated into each and every one. May everyone merit to be like the Lev Simcha, and may he be the leader of the generation and bring the complete Geulah (Redemption) to the people of Israel speedily in our days, Amen!"
