This Morning After Prayers with the Rav shlit"a: Two Bris Milah Ceremonies

At the conclusion of the Daf Yomi (daily page of Talmud) lesson and the Shacharis (morning prayer) with the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, two Bris Milah (circumcision) ceremonies were held for the child Nachman, son of Yehuda, and the child Binyamin, son of Meir Zada from Pardes Hanna.

Today, the 11th of Tishrei, the day after Yom Kippur, is called "In the Name of Hashem" ['Gott's Namen' in Yiddish]. This is because on Yom Kippur, a person ascends level after level until they stand at the level of 'Before Hashem you shall be purified,' which is above the Name of Hashem. This is especially true after reciting "Hashem is the G-d" seven times at the conclusion of the Neilah (closing) prayer; each time, one ascends to a higher level until the Name Havayah (the four-letter Name of Hashem) is to them like the Name Elokim (the Name representing judgment and concealment) which conceals and hides. Therefore, the following day is called in the common vernacular 'Gott's Namen,' since it is above any name or level.

The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, entered the prayer hall at 5:40 AM and delivered a Daf Yomi (daily page of Talmud) lesson on Tractate Me'ilah, page 20b, for 20 minutes.

Afterward, the Rav shlit"a began Chatzos (the Midnight Lamentation) and Tikkun Leah (and noted that Tikkun Rachel would not be recited in the coming weeks), followed by the morning songs of praise and the Shacharis (morning prayer), at the conclusion of which he gave a short lesson.

At the end of the lesson, two Bris Milah (circumcision) ceremonies were held for the child Nachman, son of Yehuda, and the child Binyamin, son of Meir Zada from Pardes Hanna.
