This One Shall Comfort Us • The Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a and Great Rebbes at a Condolence Visit to the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a on the Passing of His Daughter

Last week, the city of Torah, Bnei Brak, was struck with shock at the sudden and tragic passing of Rebbetzin Chana Deitch a"h (may she rest in peace), the daughter of the Spinka Rebbe of Bnei Brak, yibadel lechaim tovim (may he be distinguished for a long life). Today, Sunday, the 4th of Iyar, in the afternoon, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a arrived to comfort his soul-friend, the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a.
The Rav shlit"a was honored to sit on the holy chair of the previous Rebbe and delivered words of consolation for about twenty minutes. During this time, great and elder Rebbes arrived, including: the Karlin-Stolin Rebbe shlit"a, the Bohush Rebbe shlit"a, the Lelov-Jerusalem Rebbe shlit"a, and the Karlin-Lelov Rebbe shlit"a. The Rebbes sat down one after another next to the Rav shlit"a and shook his hands with the blessing of 'Shalom Aleichem' (peace be upon you). During the nichum avelim (condolence visit), the young child of the deceased appeared; the Rav shlit"a instructed the orphaned child to recite the Kaddish (memorial prayer) for the elevation of her soul.
