Thousands at the Emotional Prayer Rally at the Kotel for the Release and Healing of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The plaza of the Kotel was filled to capacity at the prayer and cry rally for the release of the esteemed tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. The troubling events that began with the arrest of Rav Berland brought thousands of people to leave their occupations, and in the cold of Jerusalem, to come and gather for a mass prayer at the Kotel, the remnant of our Holy Temple.

Seven chapters of Tehillim from the Tikkun HaKlali were recited with melody and great intention. Afterwards, the public continued with the recitation of additional chapters of Tehillim, and at the conclusion, the acceptance of the yoke of the kingdom of Heaven took place, with the multitude of people honoring the King.

Dancing and songs to sweeten the judgments enveloped all those present at the Kotel in tremendous devotion.

After adding his signature to the signatures of the judges who were happy against those who informed and handed over Rav Berland shlit"a, the esteemed Rabbi Shimon Baadani shlit"a, from the Council of Torah Sages, came to participate in the prayer and cry rally of the Breslov Shuvu Banim community.

It was amazing to see the power of prayer, thousands of burning hearts not moved by the lies and bullying used against thousands of Breslov chassidim, members of the Shuvu Banim community, and especially against the esteemed tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. Thousands came to protest against the anti-democratic persecution of religion. In the middle of a Gemara lesson, in the presence of hundreds of students and before the Shacharit prayer, dozens of armed, masked soldiers, behaving as in dark regimes, took Rav Berland in front of his thousands of students. And tonight, the God-fearing proved that the worm of Jacob, whose strength is in its mouth, is not impressed by these displays, but those connected to holiness know that the eternity of Israel will not lie.

For it is simply incomprehensible. A tzaddik, a servant of Hashem, leading tens of thousands in Israel to fear of Heaven and holy service, 83 years old, without a kidney, after three surgeries to remove malignant tumors, with a pacemaker. They arrested him, but due to his severe condition, they took him directly to the hospital, where they prevented him from receiving visits and proper food, and despite undergoing a heart catheterization, they transferred him straight to prison. Simply absurd, worse than the severe cases of Jewish persecution in exile.

The lawyer representing our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, spoke of the holy and inspiring conduct of our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a. He recounted visiting the hospital and was amazed to see Rav Berland lying before surgery, surrounded by guards. In such a situation, you would expect to see a person lying down and resting from the ordeals, but I saw Rav Berland sitting with a Ketzot HaChoshen book, and with Gemaras of Nedarim, Bava Batra, and Bava Metzia. These are the Gemaras that the Rav is studying at these hours before surgery, with true self-sacrifice, for they are our life and the length of our days.

It is clear that the evil authorities are trying to break our spirit and divide the ranks, but "it is a time of trouble for Jacob, and from it he will be saved."
