“To Make Known…” • The Purim Wine Feast in the Holy Residence of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, with the Participation of the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a

The Wine Feast ○A Fiery, Blazing Shiur ○ Joy and Dancing ○ A Stunning Photo Gallery

After Shacharis and the reading of the Megillah with a great multitude, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a entered at 11:00 into his holy residence for the Purim seudah, with the participation of the Spinka Rebbe shlit"a. The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, opened the feast by fulfilling the mitzvos of the day—drinking a cup of wine together with the Rebbe—after first reciting the “traditional Kiddush” of Purim, accompanied by a lighthearted, humorous remark. After the drinking, he distributed l’chaim to those participating in the feast, and began delivering a fiery, blazing shiur for more than half an hour on the greatness of the days of Purim and on the story of the Megillah. He expanded at length and revealed wondrous new insights into the secrets and inner dimension of the Megillah’s story, and into the exalted level of Purim—fulfilling the teaching, “When wine enters, the secret comes out!” Afterwards, he rose with joy and holy enthusiasm, and began singing and dancing in the joy of Purim together with the Rebbe and the participants in the feast. For many long minutes he danced around his pure table, bestowing an outpouring of blessings upon all those around him, including the Rebbe’s descendants who came to receive a blessing. Likewise, the one who gladdens hearts, R’ Abba Turtzky, received the blessing of the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. After more than an hour of the wine feast, he entered back inside, further into the holy inner chamber, for the avodah of this holy day.
