Tonight, the night of Tu B’Av, there will take place, with Hashem’s help, the ceremony of “Hachnasas Sefer Torah” into our central “Shuvu Banim” Beis Midrash, under the leadership of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. This Hachnasas Sefer Torah is being held at the request of The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, that the Torah scroll be for the elevation of the souls of all the holy ones who were taken up to Heaven in a storm during the terrible years of the Holocaust, in the years 5699–5705 (1939–1945), and that it be brought in on the coming night of Tu B’Av.
