"Until Today There Are Holocausts Because They Sold Joseph the Tzaddik!" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of topics from the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) - yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Sunday night, the 15th of Kislev, Parshas Vayeishev:

There are thirty children who throw stones every day instead of saying ninety Amens, four Kedushas (sanctification prayers), ten Kaddishes, and a hundred blessings. Just as they threw [stones] at Diocletian, so he sent a letter to the director of the Cheder (Torah school for boys), Rabbi Yehuda Nesiah, [ordering him] to arrive immediately after Havdalah (the ceremony marking the end of the Sabbath). Then Antigris the demon arrived and took them to Banias immediately at the conclusion of the Sabbath. The guards said, "The Rabbis have arrived," even though it was a distance of 200 kilometers. So they heated the furnace for seven days until the walls became red from the heat. Antigris the demon came and said, "I will cool you down." The Emperor saw this and said, "Fine, but stop throwing stones." The brothers said, "Come, let us kill him." You wanted to kill your brother? So why did they want to kill their brother? Naphtali took a leap, he jumped. They wanted to sell him for a billion dollars, because they [thought] they were the sons of the handmaids. Every hour four million, in twenty days they covered the whole investment. But Joseph said they are not handmaids. Until today there is controversy, and until today there are Holocausts, and ten young men are killed every day. Every girl has a million times more intelligence than a boy. Every girl should open a seminary for a thousand girls, and it will be in Be'eri, in Zikim, in Nirim (Israeli border towns)—the girls will not go into captivity. It all depends on the girls; perhaps this week they will release them [the captives]. Today people don't travel to Kever Rachel (Rachel's Tomb) or to Shechem (Joseph's Tomb); everyone goes straight to bed. The Rav was away for a month, and everyone bought a Xiaomi (smartphone). Everyone should break his Xiaomi, and every girl should lengthen her skirt. The Geulah (Redemption) will only be in the merit of the girls who lengthen their skirts. Now is the month of Kislev, the month of Geulah; may we merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!
