Urgent Appeal! Have a part in FREEING RAV BERLAND!

> Chazal say "There is no greater mitzvah than pidyon shvuyim (helping free a person from jail)", and that it comes before all other charities

The judge is asking for a 700,000 shekel bail to release Rav Berland tomorrow (Tuesday), without this money the Rav will remain in jail chas v’shalom. After making this astronomical request the judge said “begin a fundraising campaign”… So here we are. We are still lacking a large portion of this money.

Before the Rav was extradited he requested that everyone give 1000 shekel to help pay the legal fees, and he promised that whoever gives will be greatly rewarded from heaven.

Besides for the bail there are many other expenses:

* Attorney fees
* Transportation and organization of Rally’s in front of the jail and any other place that the Rav may be
* Project “The Nation is with the Tzaddik” publications and getting the people involved
* Live video broadcasts of events and getting the cause heard
* Flyers, articles, pamphlets, on the web and in print

We received a recording of Rav Berland in which the Rav says a few days before being arrested to create a “million shekel campaign” that each person should give at least 100 shekel for each person in his family including children. The Rav said that a person can even borrow the money and deduct it from ma’aser for the rest of the year.

The recording was not yet publicized since we didn’t see a need. But today, the foresight of the Rav is clear, that he saw ahead what will be needed today.
