Urgent for Today! Rabbi Berland Commands All of Am Yisrael to Complete "Shnayim Mikra v'Echad Targum" of the Weekly Parshah "Bo" by Midnight Tonight – Listen

Following Rabbi Berland's declaration that Moshiach is destined to be revealed on the night after Tu B'Shvat, the Rav came out today with another important declaration connected to this matter. In it, he requested from all the Jewish people to read by midnight tonight Shnayim Mikra v'Echad Targum (reading the text twice and the translation once) of the weekly Torah portion "Bo" in order to hasten the Geulah (Redemption). Rabbi Berland has been in exile for nearly three years, having expressed many times that through this, he is giving over his soul (mesirus nefesh) for the sake of the Nation of Israel and to bring the Geulah closer. The false accusations and the controversy that has arisen against him in recent years were intended to awaken within the Nation of Israel the point of Emunas Chachamim (faith in the Sages) and true Tzaddikim, for the Geulah depends on this, as is brought down extensively in the holy books. Every person who guides their ways and thoughts according to the religion of the holy Torah knows that there is no substance to any of these plots; it is all in the category of gossip and Lashon Hara (evil speech), regarding which it is a commandment from the Torah not to listen to at all, and all the more so is it forbidden to believe them. However, those who wander after the misguided conduct themselves according to judgments they do not know, following the statutes of the nations which have no part in the Torah of Israel. Therefore, their hearts are drawn to believe and accept false accusations against Tzaddikim. The Nation of Israel, which heeds the Gedolim (great leaders) of the generation, certainly does not believe evil rumors and anticipates and yearns for the return of Rabbi Berland to the Land of Israel soon. There is no doubt that a true and fundamental process of clarification is taking place these days in all parts of the nation—whether to believe in the voice of Rabbi Berland or to reject it. This process of clarification concerns the point of Emunas Chachamim, which actually testifies to the strength of a person's faith in the Creator of the World Himself, as is explicitly brought in the holy books. Here is one of the examples written in the book of Rabbi Nosson of Breslov, the outstanding and faithful student of Rebbe Nachman: "For it is impossible to believe in Hashem unless one believes in Moses His servant—that is, the aspect of Emunas Chachamim, as it is said: 'And they believed in Hashem and in Moses His servant'" (Likutey Halachos, Yoreh Deah, Hechsher Kelim 2:1). If so, it emerges that we are in the midst of a process of clarifying the level of faith in Hashem, which occurs through the clarification of the level of Emunas Chachamim of every person individually within themselves.
