"Rav Eliezer ben Atia has special protection from Heaven," Rav Stavsky began his words. "Do you remember that Rav Berland shlit"a said that there was, G-d forbid, a decree?" Rav Stavsky turned to the person next to him. "Within a few days, the Mohorosh passed away; it was Eliezer under Eliezer. He decided, one Eliezer has already departed, may he rest in peace, a righteous and awesome tzaddik," referring to the fact that Rav Eliezer Shlomo Schick zt"l departed in place of the Tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a. Further on, when Rav Daniel Stavsky shlit"a was asked why Rav Berland shlit"a does not return to the Land, he answered: "He doesn't want to! Can I force him?! If he wanted to, he would already be here; he is doing it all. He is performing tikkunim there, ironing out the world—Zimbabwe, Morocco—he is doing it on purpose, what do you think! Even with the humiliations, he did it; he is performing tikkunim, he is doing great things. One must pray, but rely on him as well."
