Watch: Golani Soldier Asks Rabbi Eliezer Berland on the Phone to Pray for Him
The Importance of the Assembly in Hebron

Due to the IDF's preparations for a military operation in Gaza, a soldier from the Golani Brigade called the tzaddik of the generation, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, to request a blessing for himself, the brigade, the army, and all of the Jewish people.
As recalled, during the holiday of Chanukah, our teacher, the holy Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, said that there is a harsh decree upon the Jewish people. These were his words there: "The terrible and dire situation in which the entire Jewish people finds itself is a life-threatening danger, and all citizens of Israel are under the threat of a barrage of missiles. After they fired 400 missiles at the cities of Ashkelon, Be'er Sheva, Netivot, Ofakim, and Sderot, now they are preparing for thousands upon thousands of missiles that will reach as far as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. And we have no way to stop this because the whole world is against us; they can launch 10,000 missiles and we only one, and they will say that we are the aggressor and they are the victim. They will say that we started it and they are only defending themselves." The Rav shlit"a added and said there, "Only Tehillim can stop missiles – no IDF, no weapons, no tanks, no Patriots, and no Iron Dome can stop the missiles. Only the Tehillim that will be recited at this assembly will stop the missiles, and in the merit of this, everyone will live long lives like Yitzchak, in the merit of participating in this assembly."
Our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, added and said that there are two possibilities for sweetening the judgments and annulling the decrees. The first is that the people awaken and annul the decree, or that the tzaddik, Heaven forbid, would have to depart in order to annul them. Therefore, since the words of the Rav shlit"a, many have awakened to prayers so that the tzaddik will live long years in health and that a harsh war will not break out in Israel.
Throughout the years, we have seen that every time our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, requested to hold a prayer assembly, the goal was to annul an intifada or a war. After the prayer assembly held on Chanukah, the Rav shlit"a said that we pushed off the decree until the 1st of Nissan. Two weeks ago, we published that the missiles indeed reached as far as Tel Aviv, just as our teacher, Rav Berland, warned and said.
And now, a soldier from the Golani Brigade called our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, to ask for a blessing for success in the operation in Gaza. Our teacher, Rav Berland, answered him and said (as seen in the recording), "Now we are saying Tikkun HaKlali so that no soldier will be killed or wounded." In addition, the Rav said that until Passover, all Thursdays will be days of fasting to annul the decree.
