Watch: Golani Soldier Asks Rabbi Eliezer Berland on the Phone to Pray for Him - The Importance of the Assembly in Hebron

As recalled, during the Chanukah holiday, our teacher the esteemed tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a said that there is a severe decree on the people of Israel. His words there were, "The terrible and dreadful situation in which all of Israel is in mortal danger and all the citizens of Israel are under the threat of a barrage of missiles. After 400 missiles were fired at the cities of Ashkelon, Be'er Sheva, Netivot, Ofakim, and Sderot, now they are preparing for thousands of missiles that will reach Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. And we have no way to stop it because the whole world is against us, they can launch 10,000 missiles and we are just one and they will say we are the aggressor and they are the victim. They will say we started and they are just defending themselves." The Rav shlit"a added and said there, "Only Tehillim can stop missiles – no IDF, no weapons, no tanks, no Patriots, and no Iron Dome can stop the missiles. Only the Tehillim recited at this assembly will stop the missiles, and because of this everyone will live long like Yitzchak, because they will participate in this assembly."
Our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a added and said that there are two possibilities to sweeten the judgments and annul the decrees. The first is that the people will awaken and annul the decree, or the tzaddik, God forbid, will have to depart in order to annul them. Therefore, since the words of the Rav shlit"a, many have awakened to prayers so that the tzaddik will live long in health and that a severe war will not break out in Israel.
Over the years we have seen that every time our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a asked to hold a prayer assembly, the goal was to prevent an intifada or war. After the prayer assembly held on Chanukah, the Rav shlit"a said that we postponed the decree until the first of Nissan. Two weeks ago, we published that the missiles indeed reached Tel Aviv as our teacher Rav Berland warned and said.
And behold, a soldier from the Golani Brigade called our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a to request a blessing for success in the operation in Gaza. Our teacher Rav Berland answered him and said (as seen in the recording), "Now say Tikkun HaKlali so that no soldier will be killed or injured." Additionally, the Rav said that until Passover, every Thursday will be a fast day to annul the decree.
