Watch: “I Asked HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky shlit"a to Bless That HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Would Return to the Land”
On the 12th of Tammuz 5776, toward the end of the year following Shemittah, everyone was astonished when HaGaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a returned to Eretz Yisrael. But it turns out that not everyone was surprised. Once again, we are granted a glimpse behind the scenes of the Tzaddikim’s spiritual perception. We all know that there are Tzaddikim who are connected to the spirituality and inner meaning of the events unfolding in the world—those who know in advance what is destined to happen. Almost always, these matters remain hidden. This time, it was an eight-year-old boy who merited to reveal to the world that the knowledge of the Tzaddikim is beyond comparison to that of everyone else.

“I came together with two other friends to the holy home of Maran HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky shlit"a in order to receive a blessing from his mouth,” the boy, Natan Berachah n"y, relates. “On that occasion, I asked R’ Chaim to bless Rabbi Berland shlit"a that he should return to the Holy Land.”

HaGaon Rabbi Chaim answered me: “Rabbi Berland shlit"a will return in a week.”

Such are the true Tzaddikim—bound to one another with cords of love, and aware of all that is happening in the world, even though they do not lift their eyes from the sefer.
