We Do Not Remove the Article - We Believe in the Words of Rabbi Eliezer Berland Who Strives to Nullify the Coronavirus

The eminent tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a said that there is a terrible decree of the coronavirus for the destruction of the world. We published these words then, but many people laughed and said it would not happen.

It was already on the second of February that we published Rabbi Berland's words regarding the disease that was going to spread across the world. At that time, it still seemed like imagination, as the virus appeared to be only a side issue of China and did not concern the rest of the world, certainly not Israel.

There were people who exaggerated in their speech and said that by publishing these things we are disgracing Rabbi Berland, because it is not logical that the disease would spread, as there is no real danger.

As soon as he asked us to warn the world about the danger of the coronavirus and its consequences, Rabbi Berland composed a special prayer to be saved from the coronavirus. The Rabbi requested that the prayer be translated into all languages and to warn the world about the decree that is about to come.

And why are we writing these things? Is it only to show that the tzaddik sees the decrees in advance and takes upon himself disgrace to sweeten them? This alone certainly warrants an article, as the kabbalist Rabbi Menashe Amon said, "Rabbi Berland takes upon himself disgrace to atone for me and you, and you, and you, and we, 'as a token of appreciation,' speak and believe in slander." However, the reason we are publishing these things is to quiet those who no longer believe in the words of the tzaddik, for it is not wise to believe in hindsight in the words of the tzaddik; the main thing is to strengthen for the future.

And behold, we published a message from Rabbi Berland with guidance not to panic, and that Rabbi Berland is striving to nullify the spread of the coronavirus by the upcoming Pesach. And again, they turn to us and ask us to remove these things, because as the confusion increases in the world, reality seems completely opposite, and it is hard to believe that in about three weeks the decree will be sweetened. But, faithful in simplicity to the words of our teacher Rabbi Berland, we have already seen great wonders from the tzaddik, and we hope that the public will continue to assist by reciting 7 Tikkun HaKlali every day, as the Rabbi requested. Thus, the tzaddik will be able to effect the sweetening with mercy, and we will merit to see these things happen before our eyes.

And indeed, what was is what will be, for in the redemption from Egypt, Moshe Rabbeinu came from Midian and said that Hashem is redeeming us and plagues will come upon Egypt. The people of Israel did not believe this, but suddenly the terrible happened and the familiar world began to turn upside down. As long as the plagues continued, the Jews also feared that they would not disappear from the world and did not see the end of it. Everyone was afraid and asked Moshe to stop the plague, and then Moshe indeed turned to Hashem on his own, raised his hands, and through prayer caused the plague to cease. As our teacher Rabbi Berland said in prayer - "In the blink of an eye it came and in the blink of an eye it will disappear."
