We Must Seal the Breach — The Daily Strengthening from the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The Daily Strengthening of The Rav, the holy gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a — “To the increase of the dominion and to peace without end”

Wednesday, 27 Tammuz 5785 — “We must seal the breach,” these are his holy words:

Now we are after Pesach, after the Splitting of the Sea—when the sea was split. This is called a closed mem (מ״ם סתומה). Because there is a closed mem and an open mem. A closed mem is “לְמַרְבֵּה הַמִּשְׂרָה”— “לםרבה [לְמַרְבֵּה] הַמִּשְׂרָה וּלְשָׁלוֹם אֵין קֵץ” (Isaiah 9:6). An open mem is: “They are breached in the walls of Jerusalem… [they are breached]” (Nehemiah 2:13)—the walls are “breached.”

Now there are no walls—we have no walls. The wall that is in the Old City is not walls; everything is breached. So we must seal the breached mem.

Because the mem that is breached is an open mem. So the moment we seal the breached mem, the mem of “לְמַרְבֵּה הַמִּשְׂרָה” will open. This is “Bereishis.” This is what Eliyahu HaNavi says: that it was written “meireishis” (מראשית), and Hashem turned the mem into a beis—He opened the mem.
“Because all the avodah is to open the closed mem, and this is through the women who did not agree in any way to Pharaoh’s decree. They prayed for nine months. And whoever did not pray—they would put the child into the wall. But those who prayed—then angels came (to save her). The commando (the Egyptians) lay in ambush for every woman. They placed four-year-old children at every entrance (to spy on when they gave birth). The moment a woman gave birth, she immediately let out a cry—there is no giving birth without a cry. The moment she cried out, the children immediately called the commando. The commando wanted to snatch the little baby, but the angels got there first. The angels immediately told the women: run quickly. All the angels came, helped the righteous women, and in this way Israel went out of Egypt.
