What a Heart the Tzaddik Has: The Righteous Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Weeps at the Mourning of Meir Assouline

Fear and trembling, the heart of the tzaddik. Our teacher, the honorable and holy Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, comes to comfort Meir Assouline on the passing of his mother and weeps as if he lost a close family member. The tzaddik feels the pain of Israel as if it is his own personal pain. The Rabbi entered the mourning house and cried bitterly while saying, "You had an angel for a mother, my mother, my mother, my mother, she was my mother, she was my mother, she was my mother," the Rabbi continued and repeated in tears.

"Oh, my dear mother," the Rabbi continued to cry while embracing Meir Assouline. Since Shabbat, I have only been crying, I just cry, I can't stop crying, oh my dear mother, my dear mother, she was my dear mother," the Rabbi wept, and all present shuddered in awe. "She was my mother, she was the mother of all of us, she was the mother of all of Israel, there was no mother like her, she was Sarah our matriarch," the Rabbi shlit"a sat fainted on the mourner's chair.
