When a Breslov Chassid Reaches the Heavens, How Will They Know if He is Truly a Breslov Chassid?

"After we mentioned and spoke about Rav Rosenfeld, I must share a teaching I heard from him, words that are relevant for all generations, and especially for our generation."

"In all generations, there were disputes about this and that, with everyone thinking they were only for the sake of Heaven, that they would save the world and our Rebbe. Once, Rav Rosenfeld said a very sharp teaching about this, he said, A Breslov chassid will arrive in the World to Come after his 120 years. They will ask him, 'Dear Jew, were you a Breslov chassid?' He will open his eyes wide and ask, 'What is this, the World of Truth? All these years I prayed in Breslov, all these years I studied our Rebbe's books, Uman, Hitbodedut, fields, what not? And now they ask me if I was a Breslov chassid!"

"They will answer him, 'All the honor for everything you fulfilled, but who can guarantee that if you were in the time of Rebbe Nachman and Rabbi Natan, you wouldn't have been among the dissenters and opponents? To this, he has nothing to answer.'"

"The answer and proof for this, said Rav Rosenfeld, is that you never participated in a dispute. If you did not oppose our people in our generation, it is a clear sign that you would not have opposed Rabbi Natan or our Rebbe. But, if you oppose today our people, who says you wouldn't have opposed then?! This is an amazing and simple thing."

"We can learn from this that at least we should sit quietly, what does it concern you, is someone forcing you to get involved, sit quietly where you are. Do not go to save the world and our Rebbe. Suddenly everyone wants to save our Rebbe."
