Where Are You Running? Stay and Receive All the Influences
Words of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for Parshat Chayei Sarah

"And he said, 'Blessed be Hashem, the G-d of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His kindness and His truth'" (24:27)
"The Rebbe says that the speech comes and asks of you, and pleads with you, and embraces you—why are you rushing? Why are you running? I will give you everything you want! The speech comes and is heard by your ears; let your ears hear what you are bringing forth from your mouth, and it asks and pleads, 'Say the Amidah (the 18 blessings) slowly, slowly.' The speech asks and pleads with the soul not to separate; why are you running? Where are you running? I will give you everything. The 'Bet' of 'Baruch' (Blessed) says to you, 'I will give you everything.' Let your ears hear what you are bringing forth from your mouth; say the word 'Baruch.' 'Baruch' is all the blessings in the world; with the word 'Baruch' alone, the soul should already be ready to depart, and then one merits all the blessings in the world. So the speech asks and pleads with the soul not to separate from it."
"The 'Bet' says to him, 'Stand by me, say me, stand for a few seconds with patience.' The letter 'Bet' of the word 'Baruch' stands and pleads and asks the soul not to separate! I will give you everything, everything you need for everyone. I will give you healing, just say 'Baruch' slowly, slowly; say 'Refa'enu' (Heal us) slowly, slowly, draw down healing for everyone, for all of the people of Israel. 'Heal us, Hashem, and we shall be healed, save us and we shall be saved, for You are our praise' (the eighth blessing of the Amidah), I will give you all the abundance."
"'For You are a G-d, a faithful and merciful healer,' what, is your doctor faithful?! You go to a doctor, he only gives you special treatment after you give him a thousand dollars for a personal consultation, a private surgery—what does he care about you? And even if he is the most careful and the most precise, it is only for his career. That is what interests him. So he is not faithful! And he is not merciful! And here in prayer, we stand before 'G-d, a faithful and merciful King,' we stand before a 'faithful and merciful King' who does everything to give to us, and it all depends on the Amidah and the intention."
"As soon as the first letter emerges, such as the letter 'Bet' in the word 'Baruch,' it then asks and pleads with the soul not to separate from it, not to separate from it. How can you run away? Why? 'Say Baruch slowly, slowly, you will receive an apartment, you will receive everything, whatever you need—healing, salvation—you will receive everything, just say Baruch slowly, slowly. Why are you running away? After all, I love you.' The letter says, 'I love you, I want you to say me slowly, I will give you everything according to the greatness of the connection and the love that exists between us, because you do not see that I can give you everything. I, the word Baruch, can give you all the blessings and all the abundance in the world. You do not see my beauty, and the essence of my beauty, and my radiance, and my splendor, and my glory—you do not see my beauty, and I will give you everything you want. Just be faithful to me; how can you go to others? How can you leave me?'"
"Reb Noson prays in Likutey Tefilot that he should have the strength to detach from the letters, because the letters hold onto a person so that he cannot detach at all; he could stand in the Amidah prayer, not just for 8 hours, but for 24 hours. Every letter can give you all the salvations and all the blessings."
"The Rebbe had intention in every letter of the Amidah, so he succeeded in drawing down abundance for all generations. We live only from our holy and awesome Rebbe, from the abundance that he drew down for us. It is true that you need to go and acquire more segulot (spiritual remedies) and precious things, you want to go further in order to say more letters, but how can you separate from me? I will give you everything; how can you separate from me and forget me? You know what? I have advice for you, say the 'Bet,' the 'Resh,' the 'Vav,' and the 'Khaf' of 'Baruch.' Say me, remember what light you were in the letter 'Bet,' and what light you were in the letter 'Resh,' and what light you were in the letter 'Vav,' and what light you were in the letter 'Khaf.' Remember that every letter has new and wonderful lights, so you will not forget the lights that you saw in the letters."
