On the last Motza'ei Shabbat, Parshat Toldot 5779, as is his holy custom, the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a conducted a sacred tour of public outreach throughout the country. "And they took Lot and his possessions, the son of Avram's brother, and went, and he dwelt in Sodom" (Genesis 12:14), the entire verse is reversed, from back to front. Why is it written in reverse, Lot first and then his possessions? Because "his possessions, the son of Avram's brother" equals in gematria 'Rava'. Rava was a spark from Lot, he had to rectify Lot's sins, and this was very difficult, therefore he received greetings only on the eve of Yom Kippur."
