Now the chevra (group of followers) are traveling, with Hashem's help, to Uman for Lag BaOmer.

Rabbi Levi Yitzchak [Bender] wanted to stay in Uman for Lag BaOmer, but Rabbi Avraham son of Rabbi Nachman of Tulchin did not let him. He told him, "You are not staying here in Uman for Lag BaOmer."

Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender had only one more day to stay until Lag BaOmer, but the two weeks were up. Therefore, Reb Avraham told him, "You are going back home." He told him that it is forbidden to be in Uman for more than two weeks—after that, it becomes something mundane, just like anything else.

Even regarding the Kotel (Western Wall), a person needs to make a break of a week and only then return to go to the Kotel, so that there will be a sense of hischadshus (renewal).

So Rabbi Avraham did not allow Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender under any circumstances to stay in Uman, even though it was exactly one day before Lag BaOmer. He told him, "Travel and return immediately, but you must travel; you must make a break; you must renew the kisufim (longings) and the desires."

Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender used to tell this story, that one must not be in Uman for more than two weeks, because after that, it becomes mundane.
