Transcript of the Conversation
The Attendant (Mashbak): They publicized that the Rav said Moshiach is arriving on Tu B'Shvat.

Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a: Correct—this is an Et Ratzon (time of Divine favor) for Moshiach to arrive! If they pray, and everyone prays together, and everyone unites, and in all the dispersions of Israel they recite 10 Tikkun HaKlali every day—in all the dispersions of Israel—then there are high chances that Moshiach will arrive on the night following Tu B'Shvat. However, without prayer and without teshuvah (repentance), it cannot happen! We need 90 percent of the Jewish people to do teshuvah, to stop committing immorality and transgressions, and to start keeping Shabbat. This is the condition for the coming of Moshiach. If [one thinks] it is possible without keeping Shabbat—Moshiach is not coming; there is no such thing. And they must stop sinning with immorality, and they need to smash all the iPhones. If a thousand people smash the iPhones right now, then Moshiach will be able to come. Everyone needs to smash the iPhones now, and the WhatsApps, and everything—smash them completely—then Moshiach will be able to arrive. Without this, Moshiach is not coming. Moshiach cannot arrive in such impurity; no one would listen to his voice at all, under any circumstances. "When shall I come and appear before God?" If a person wants to see Hashem, he must be pure and holy right now. The Rambam says that Moshiach will not change anything, only that everyone will keep Shabbat. So, one must keep Shabbat starting now! And they must not sin with immorality. The moment they do not sin with immorality, then Moshiach will arrive right now!

Everyone should read Parashat Bo, Shnayim Mikra v'Echad Targum (reading the Torah portion twice in Hebrew and once in Aramaic translation) by 12:00 at night, and this will bring the Geulah (Redemption) closer. Everyone should drop everything now—men, women, and children from age 12—and recite Shnayim Mikra v'Echad Targum. Women are exempt from saying the Targum.
