"With Drums and With Dances" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is the complete daily lesson as delivered by The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, on Tuesday night, the eve of Wednesday, 4 Shevat, Parshas Bo, after the Ma’ariv prayer:

“And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took the drum in her hand and all the women went out after her with drums and with dances” (Shemos 15:20). This entire parshah speaks about drums and dances. For that reason, the parshah of the mann—this is drums and dances—this is chapter 16, verse 17: because the entire alef-beis is only that every letter sings, and every letter dances. And Serach bas Asher, in the merit of the fact that she simply danced all day, merited to revive—“and the spirit of Yaakov their father was revived” (Bereishis 45:27)—and she entered Gan Eden with her body. Every woman who dances enters Gan Eden with her body.
