“With Drums and with Dances”
The Daily Shiur with Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”a
THE FULL TRANSLATED DAILY SHIUR OF OUR REBBE RAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A, GIVEN ON TUESDAY, THE NIGHT OF 4 SHEVAT, PARASHAT BO, AFTER MAARIV:
“Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took her drum in her hand [and all the women went forth after her] with drums and with dances” (Shemot 15:20). The whole parasha talks about drums and dances. Because the parashah of the Manna is drums and dances – this is chapter 16, verse 17, that the whole Alef-Bet is only that every letter sings and every letter dances. And Serach bat Asher, in the merit of her only dancing all day, she merited to revive – “the spirit of Yaakov, their father, was revived” (Bereishit 45:27), and she entered with her body to the Garden of Eden. Every woman who dances enters with her body to the Garden of Eden.
THE SHIUR BEGINS AT TIMECODE 1:00:15
