Woe to Us from the Day of Judgment, Woe to Us from the Day of Rebuke. Rabbi Motta Frank Cries Out Against Those Pursuing the Righteous Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

"I sincerely hope that within my words you will find, if you wish, solace for your soul, and may we merit, and the great merit of the one whose yahrzeit is today, the head of our group, R' Levi Yitzchak Bender zt"l, whom I personally saw many times how people would come to his home and also to him in the synagogue, many good people among Anash to speak ill and evil against R' Laizer and his people... and R' Levi Yitzchak listened and listened, and then I heard him say in this language: What do they want? I arrive at the shul at dawn, who do I find there? The people of R' Laizer! Who goes to the field? The people of R' Laizer! Whom do I meet at the mikveh at dawn? The people of R' Laizer! - What do they want? - May his memory be a blessing and his merit protect us."

Thus concludes Rabbi Motta Frank, one of the prominent Breslov influencers in the world, his sharp letter. Rabbi Frank, like many others, is pained by the persecution of the righteous Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, sharply responds to all the schemers who do not shy away from any means to disgrace the honor of the Rav shlit"a and the honor of the entire Torah. Rabbi Frank is not among the visitors to Rav Berland's home nor among those counted in his courtyard, yet, like any Jew watching from the side, whose Jewish soul beats within him, he is fed up with the false campaign of persecution against the Rav shlit"a.

"And I will sharpen my words a bit" (begins Rabbi Frank): "For only because you decided, and a few others like you decided, that he and his people and all who assist him are 'Shabbateans', only because of this you, apparently, allow yourself to speak in such a low and vile manner whenever you mention R' Laizer in your letter... and apparently, only because of this also did Laizer Cheshin and Yom Tov Cheshin and Yehuda Tzvi Zucker decide (and I apologize to them that I cannot mention the word R' before their names, because for the type of actions I am writing about right now, it is impossible to call them with R' before mentioning their names...), and only because of this decision that R' Laizer is a 'Shabbatean', God forbid, only because of this they, apparently, allow themselves to descend so much into his life... and to be 'throwing a stone after the fallen'... and not to be ashamed to descend to the worst level on earth and to their lowest point, to raise a hand against the Torah of Moses (as ruled in halacha when turning to secular courts not according to the Torah of Moses...)and even to try to incite and urge people to come 'there' to testify against R' Laizer (as I heard a recorded tape of what Yom Tov Cheshin tried in recent days to do with one of the people close to R' Laizer), and to come before police investigators who hate religion, and to confront R' Laizer, (on matters that are not at all what will bring about the truth and not what will cause him to be punished, because the same woman that Tzvika Zucker tried to testify about, when he stands as an insolent and dares his face against his father-in-law, and behaves as the lowest and most ungrateful... this woman stands and cries that these things never happened... and deceitfully they extracted from her, as she claims, a false confession several years ago...). And above all, to descend to such a low level to cause the public humiliation of R' Laizer, and all his people, in such a scale... by passing a tape of 'supposed' 'confession'... (to anyone who knows the character of R' Laizer), which they extracted, in a way not a way, from R' Laizer at the time, and to pass the tape to whom??? Not to rabbis who sit on the matter with seriousness and pure fear of Heaven as if the gates of hell are open beneath them... and in a Beit Din composed of at least three judges and sitting together and behaving with all the laws of investigation and inquiry."

"And this tape was not only passed to the police investigators, in private rooms, to try to clarify the truth, but to our great sorrow and immense shame, not only to them were these tapes passed, but to whom??? To Israeli television!!!! To fatten the haters of Israel with arrows of poison of hatred against the Haredi Judaism and to defame a rabbi and his community on a scale that almost has no precedent, and to cause millions of people to speak words of profanity in the worst way and thoughts of sin unbearable – Gevald Gevald Gevald heavens bear witness!!! Who is introducing profanity on an unprecedented scale here?? Who is introducing thoughts of sin here?? Is it R' Laizer Berland hy"u, God forbid, or Laizer Cheshin and Yom Tov Cheshin and Tzvika Zucker? Who??... Think for yourself... Who???"

Woe to us from the Day of Judgment! Woe to us from the Day of Rebuke!

Anyone who is even slightly familiar with the reasons for everything happening around us knows for certain that our teacher the Rav shlit"a is pursued for no wrongdoing on his part. Moreover, there is a vile group that does not shy away from any means, even the most despicable, against a tzaddik, the foundation of the world.
