Words of the Esteemed Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Before the Gathering in
Hadera on the 9th of Tevet

It is impossible to hear the words of our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, without a tear coming to one's eye. Rav Berland shlit"a, who feels and knows the inner holiness of the souls of Israel, travels and circles our entire Holy Land in order to gather the remnant of the descendants of Israel from among the broken pieces. Listen to his holy words, which call upon the masses of Israel to step out of their routine for a moment and join the important and awesome gathering on the 7th of Tevet in Hadera.
"The 7th of Tevet is the greatest day of the year; Esther enters the house of Ahasuerus and reigns over 127 provinces. Everyone who comes on the 7th of Tevet to the gathering will merit, like Queen Esther who became the queen of the world—'And they brought him hastily out of the dungeon'—she emerged from the refuse; a girl who grew up in the refuse, one bright day she becomes the queen of the world. The 7th of Tevet is the greatest day of the year, for then a person is forgiven for all his sins. 'And you shall return every man to his possession.' Therefore, everyone who comes to the gathering in Hadera, which is the 'Mother of the Colonies,' the first colony where everyone died for the sanctification of Hashem, whether by Arabs or malaria—people came to die in the Holy Land, they knew they would die."

"Hadera was built with the blood of holy ones, of pure and refined ones, and every gathering held in Hadera has a superior virtue over all other colonies of Israel. The light goes forth—the light of the Torah, the light of the Infinite, the light of the seven days. And everyone who arrives at this gathering will merit that the light of the seven days will shine upon him."
