Worshippers of the ‘Mizmor LeTodah’ Synagogue in Tel Tzion Merit to Enter a
Shiur in the Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The residents of 'Tel Zion', congregants of the 'Breslov – Mizmor LeTodah' synagogue, were privileged to enter the inner sanctum for a special lesson from our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a.
The 'Mizmor LeTodah' synagogue is privileged to be a place through which many of the Torah-observant community are drawn closer to the light of our holy Rebbe. Every Tuesday, the Rosh Yeshiva of 'Chut Shel Chessed', HaRav Shalom Arush shlit"a—one of the veteran students of our teacher, the Rav shlit"a—arrives to strengthen the minyan at the synagogue, after which he delivers a lesson followed by a Shacharit breakfast.
At the beginning of the lesson, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, spoke with fiery passion about the virtue of Shalom Bayit (peace in the home) and the importance of speaking words of encouragement to the lady of the house, who labors and toils in establishing a home of Torah. Before you are several words of holy fire from the lesson:
"'This time it is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh'—everyone must tell his wife, 'You are the only woman in the world! There is no one like you in the world; you make the most delicious food, you clean the house.' Always find something to say to her—a kind word. It is forbidden to say, 'My mother is better,' or 'My sister is better.' It is forbidden to say, 'When you clean an entire apartment, my mother cleans a hundred rooms.'"
Afterward, our teacher, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, told the story of a boy named Yossele in a small town who used to act out, until he heard one of the fathers say to his son, 'You will not be like Yossele.' In his heart, a decision was made that he was going to study Torah. He went to the Yeshiva of R' Chaim Volozhiner and began to study Torah there. Even though they sent him letters from home saying that his father was ill and that he should return, he did not heed these obstacles that sought to hinder him from his Torah study, until he merited to become a great Torah scholar.
Following this, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, provided encouragement regarding perseverance in Torah study. Subsequently, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, spoke from Torah 8, 'I saw, and behold, a golden menorah, all of it, with its bowl upon its top.' Afterward, he spoke about the weekly Torah portion, 'Shelach-Lecha,' and the humility of Joshua, who, despite knowing that there were those who wanted to kill him because of the prophecy of Eldad and Medad—'Moses dies and Joshua brings [the people into the land]'—did not fear and went on the mission of Moses. Then, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, spoke about how in this month, Esther pleaded with King Ahasuerus, 'And Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and wept, and made supplication unto him.' He concluded with wonderful insights from the weekly Torah portion, 'Shelach-Lecha,' seasoning his words with all the hidden treasures of the holy Torah.
At the conclusion of the lesson, the participants departed for the Arvit prayer, which was attended by our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, as he does every evening in the prayer hall plaza.
