Yahrzeit of the Chazon Ish - Words of the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Today, the 15th of Cheshvan marks the holy yahrzeit of the Chazon Ish, Rabbi Avraham Yeshayahu Karelitz zt"l (11th of Cheshvan 5639, November 7, 1878 – 15th of Cheshvan 5714, October 24, 1953).
We bring a selection from the holy words of our teacher, the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, spoken over the years regarding the Torah teachings of the Chazon Ish.
During Bein Hazmanim, One Can Learn More Torah Than During the Zman - (Delivered on Tuesday, Parshat Bo, 2nd of Shevat 5766)
The Chazon Ish said that the entire period of the 'zman' is preparation for 'bein hazmanim', because during bein hazmanim one can learn a thousand times more than during the zman, as he is free from all commitments. During the 'zman' he is obligated to schedules, he is bound to study partners, he is accountable to the supervisor, six or five months you studied, this is preparation for the bein hazmanim of Nissan.
The Difference Between Rebbe Nachman's Approach and the Chazon Ish Regarding the Necessary Sleep for One Who Serves Hashem During the Day (Delivered on Tuesday, Parshat Nitzavim Vayelech, 21st of Elul 5767)
If one wants to be like Rebbe Nachman, they need to sleep only four hours a day.
To be like the Chazon Ish, eight hours a day is sufficient, but during all sixteen waking hours, do not take your head out of the book. Study Chok L'Yisrael, study Talmud Yerushalmi, it's all stories, study Tractate Ketubot, it's all stories about what fruits were in Eretz Yisrael, what abundance was in Eretz Yisrael, it's all stories.
Traveling four hours, one can finish all of Ketubot on the way every day, returning four hours, one can finish Tractate Yevamot on the way. Yevamot is more difficult, it is said that the acronym 'Ani' stands for A'rubin, N'idda, Y'evamot - these are the most difficult tractates, the rest of the tractates are all stories, they are all aggadot.
The Chazon Ish's Approach to Warning About Transgressing Shabbat Labors (Tuesday, Parshat Chayei Sarah, 18th of MarCheshvan 5768)
If one does not study Ketzot HaChoshen, they cannot understand any sugya in the world.
We have a very puzzling interpretation from the Rambam. The Rambam says in Hilchot Sanhedrin, chapter 12, that even Torah scholars need a warning if someone lights a fire or electricity on Shabbat.
Regarding electricity, there is a question as to why one is liable, since the neon, these wires that heat up, are not fire. The gas here is not fire, the fluorescent is not actual fire - according to the Chazon Ish, he is building, he is closing an electric circuit. One says he is liable for cooking, when the metal is hot, they bring a coal, the person turns metal into a coal and when the metal is hot it is called cooking, but it is not fire.
There is a question, why do we need to know what to warn him about? The Gemara says in Sanhedrin that we need to know what to warn about, according to the Rabbis it doesn't matter what they warn about, but according to Rabbi Yehuda, they need to know what they are warning about. If you tell him it is fire, he can say I say it is cooking, I say like the Chazon Ish, it is building. According to Rabbi Yehuda, therefore you need to tell him it is building, it is cooking, according to all opinions...
