"Yesod of Yesod: Everyone Travels to Yosef HaTzaddik" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is the full daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – yesterday after the Ma'ariv (evening) prayer, Sunday night, the 26th of Iyar, Parshas Bamidbar:
"So today is Yesod she'be'Yesod (Foundation within Foundation - the 41st day of the Omer count); everyone is traveling to Yosef HaTzaddik (Joseph the Righteous), no one is staying here. The roads are full of the army, so there’s no problem. So today is Yesod she'be'Yesod: 'And I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember, and the land I will remember' (Leviticus 26:42). Every verse has a million difficulties, a billion difficulties:
A. Why is it reversed? We always say 'the G-d of Abraham, the G-d of Isaac, and the G-d of Jacob.' Here, everything is 'upside down.' Because Shuvu Banim (the Rav's yeshiva) printed it. What do they say? In the merit of Jacob, in the merit of Isaac, and after that Abraham. It’s reversed; you should say Abraham first. Did you print this? It was you. Naftali (a student) admits it. So it’s Naftali.
B. And after that, why did he steal the 'Vavs' (the Hebrew letter ו)? Is it permitted to steal 'Vavs'? It is forbidden to steal. It is written 'Do not steal.' Soon it will be the Ten Commandments, the holiday of Shavuos (the Festival of Weeks), the holiday of the Giving of the Torah. It is written 'Do not steal,' so why did he steal? Because he learned in Shuvu Banim... where did he learn to steal? In Shuvu Banim, like Naftali. So why does he steal the 'Vavs'? How is it permitted to steal 'Vavs'? Moshe (Moses) did not know the secret of the 'Vavs.' 'And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five he made hooks (vavim) for the pillars' (Exodus 38:28). Moshe did not know. Because the 'Vavs' are the souls of Israel. It is written in the Etz Chaim (a primary Kabbalistic text) that all the 'Vavs' are the souls of Israel. Every 'Vav,' every Jew is the letter 'Vav.' Therefore, 'A bird (tzippor) found a house'—there is a 'Vav' there; usually, 'tzippor' is spelled without a 'Vav.' 'A bird found a house'—so that is the 370 (Shin-Ayin) myriads of lights, because every Jew has 370 myriads of lights. Every Jew is 370 myriads of lights. Chavah (Eve) was 370 myriads of lights. Adam HaRishon (the first man) was only 150 (Kuf-Nun). Because 'a bird (tzippor) found a nest (ken) for herself'—the 'tzippor' is Chavah, that is Tzipporah who [-] Tzippor. That Yael is Tzipporah; it is written in the Megaleh Amukos (a deep Kabbalistic work), 'Ophan' (section) 87. We need to study one 'Ophan' every day, one 'Ophan' every day.
So until Parshas Va'eschanan, it is 105 days. Today remains—today is the 41st day of the Omer, nine days remain [until Shavuos], and after that thirty—until Tisha B'Av (the 9th of Av) another nineteen days. And another twenty-nine—nineteen plus twenty-nine is exactly forty-eight days. Forty-eight days remain—we have two months, both Sivan and Tammuz, so sixty days. Sixty days plus eighteen days is seventy-eight days. Seventy-eight days remain. Sixty until seventy-eight—Sivan, Tammuz. And then Va'eschanan is ten days until Shabbos Va'eschanan. Because Tisha B'Av is on a Tuesday. Shabbos Va'eschanan, so we have exactly, exactly eighty days; we can finish eighty [Ophanim]. In 'Ophan' 87, it is written there that Yael was the soul of Tzipporah—'smicha' (blanket) is Tzipporah, Devorah (Deborah) is the soul of Moshe. Because every woman is a spark of Moshe, every woman is a spark of Yael, and every woman can bring the salvation to the People of Israel. Just as Yael brought the salvation.
Now we are in a situation where every day five young men are killed. They entered Rafah; Rafah is [a city] larger than Tel Aviv. A million and a half people have already been evacuated, and they are doing—in every alleyway they give a 'warm welcome.' Hamas loves to give a 'warm welcome'; he isn't cold, he only does 'warm.' And every day five soldiers are killed. This is all because the girls do not lengthen their skirts. It is forbidden to walk with a slit; every girl who walks with a slit should sew up the slit. Then fewer soldiers will be killed; the soldiers will stop being killed. Every woman is a spark of Yael, of Esther HaMalka (Queen Esther); it is written in [Likutey Halachos – Laws of] Milah (Circumcision) 4:24: Every woman is a spark of Esther HaMalka. Every woman can bring the salvation to the People of Israel. Like Esther HaMalka.
And at the time a woman walks with tzniut (modesty), she will be the Kohen Gadol (High Priest), just as Yael merited to be the Kohen Gadol, Eli. The woman will come in the Third Temple and she will be the Kohen Gadol—every woman who walks in kashrus (purity/propriety). Rashi says regarding Rivka (Rebecca), 'and no man had known her'—that there was no other woman as kosher (pure). Eliezer says to Abraham, 'How can I go? I have no kosher woman, none. You are sending me to a place where there is no kosher woman.' He said, 'My angel will go [before you]!' You will see that the water rises. The well was seven hundred meters deep—five hundred meters. Every well was deep, Jacob's well, the well in Rishon LeZion. They were all seven hundred meters deep; suddenly the water rises on its own, seven hundred meters it rises on its own. You will see, you will have proof. How will you have proof? You will see that the well rises. 'My angel will go before you.' The angels will go.
And he said, 'How will I pass through here?' Two billion six hundred million were killed. Today one Arab is killed, so the whole world is shaken—how was an Arab killed? An 'innocent' Arab, a 'sweet' Arab, a 'cute' Arab. It’s true that Arabs are 'cute,' but what can be done? They murdered one thousand five hundred young men on Simchas Torah. Because instead of dancing with Torah scrolls, they opened champagne. After that, at the sea in Zikim. So twenty-five boats arrived, each boat with twenty Hamas members. Five hundred—five times twenty. And they wiped us out; not one Jew remained. And they kidnapped all the female lookouts (tatzpitaniyot); some they slaughtered, some they butchered, some they kidnapped. And we don’t know when the end of this will be. We see no end. It all depends on this—on the tzniut (modesty) of the girls. It only depends on the girls. Because every girl—a woman is Esther HaMalka, every woman is Yael, every woman is Devorah, every woman can bring the Geulah (Redemption) with Hashem's help, speedily in our days, Amen!".
