REVEALING EMUNA IN THE WORLD IS THE CENTRAL POINT OF LEAVING EGYPT

Writing in Likutey Halachot, Rabbi Natan of Nemirov teaches us:
“And this is the aspect of Pesach, because the central point of leaving Egypt was to reveal the holy emuna (faith in G-d), which is the central point of leaving Egypt to receive the Torah, which is emuna, as it’s written: “All your mitzvahs are emuna.”…
“The central point of emuna is [attained] by way of emunat chachamim (faith in our holy Sages / rabbis), from the aspect of ‘and they believed in Hashem, and in Moshe His servant’. For, it’s impossible to believe in Hashem except by believing in Moshe His servant, which is emunat chachamim, because his greatness is unfathomable, and he is far above our understanding.
“And it’s impossible to attain holy emuna except by way of the true Tzaddikim, who instill in us this holy emuna. And we need to believe in them [the Tzaddikim] without veering a millimetre to the right or to the left away from what they tell us.
“And all the bad things that happened throughout all of the generations, all the anger [that they caused Hashem] that came before Matan Torah (the giving of the Torah), which was the generation of the flood, and the generation of the dispersion, everything was because of a blemish in emunat chachamim.”
Likutey Halachot, Pesach 6:1
